An electric monorail would show the city and state how to do things.

Just like at major airport,
The monorail would go around the campus,
With bikes or moving sidewalks linking center campus.

All would be solar powered,

Imagine!!!!

What about on the days that are cloudy? Also, I would hate to give up my SUV just to participate in some green program. Perhaps I could drive it to the monorail station? So you'd have to include plenty of wide parking spaces at the station.

This might be a tough one for you to answer OK. You can go ask for help. How do you start your big bad SUV on cloudy or rainy days cause we get so many also how do you start it on sunny days.

My SUV runs on gasoline so starting it is never a problem. I merely posed my query because on the days that the sun doesn't shine, the monorail would be sitting there like a sore thumb and unable to move. My friend suggested that on those days we turn it into a party wagon complete with kegs and a smoking section. But it would leave a lot of travelers out in the cold.

The monorail could stop at the existing transfer station.

Batteries to store electricity usually suffice to run on cloudy days but pedestrian pedals cold be alternatives .....

In Germany there is a gravity train, it uses water to counterbalance the load as the water is delivered to the valley.
A similar concept could be used with passengers on the upper end outweighing those on the lower end...

And the roadway stolen from Oregon st residents could be returned since busses would be replaced.
The over budget transportation authority could be eliminated

The city planners have no imagination to real transit or we'd have a rail system. As in Germany.

Why in the hell would we try to imitate the Krauts? We whipped them twice last century and left them butt up with a flower in it both times. To hell with their ideas.

The Germans are quite ingenious, you'd be best to see some solutions rather than maintain your inbreedig.

The 95% mexican student population at Universidad de Juarez/el paso doesn't care about this crap!!!
If this idea does become reality the mexican students cowardly way to show their disrespect/ their hidden cowardly Hate for the US is to go out of their way to trash all this out. Sh!t Right now the custodial staff can't keep up with all the used toilet paper the mexicans throw on the floors in the rest rooms.

All the mexican care about is the safety they have to be able to cruise their new narco rides that their narco daddy bought for them up and down calle Universidad in front of the student Union. Cowards try and do that in mexico they'd get killed. Jewtep has turned into a safety zone for the children of rich mexican drug dealers!!!

Maybe it would be best to make the inner core of UTEP reserved for pedestrians only, and allow only emergency vehicles if and when need. Build more Parking garages and build them big enough to accommodate future growth even if they have to add more levels.I don't know about that Arroyo if they are going to open it up to students because they would probably just tear it up.
And further more, why can't Felipe Calderon build Juarez their own University, they need their own college over there, and those that do attend UTEP should be charged full tuition, tuition for being out of stater's and a tuition for being foreigners.
They shouldn't get special privileges just because they live in Mexico, they should pay up just like everyone else and that includes Tax.
stfu you pendejo!!! How can you expect ANYONE to read your post when you are ALWAYS posting about jotos and homosexuality. Vete a la chingada you gay vendido.
