Governor-elect Lincoln D. Chafee has started to piece together his top-tier State House team, while also confirming his intention to keep Brendan P. Doherty as superintendent of the Rhode Island State Police and Ashbel T. Wall II as director of the department that runs the state prison system.
It's time to review under a new governor how the state of Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training under the Division of Professional Regulation handle prevailing wage complaints.
The new governor needs to look into the lack of staff investigators and attorneys at the RIDLT and ask why the backlog of prevailing wage complaints.
