Railway linking China, ASEAN becomes operational

A railway that links southwest China's Yunnan Province with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations countries became operational on Saturday after seven years of construction, local railway authorities said.

I don't know what about the gauge of this new line (1435 mm or 1000 mm guage?) Please tell me.

Most unfortunate, the track after China into Indo-China, Thailand and Malaysia are all the narrow track.

In Malaysia, the 288 commuter trains which we bought from China have to be modified to suit our narrow track hence the limitation in speed.
