A court in northwest China has rejected an appeal from a Tibetan environmentalist who was sentenced to 15 years in prison on charges of grave robbing and dealing in looted antiquities, his lawyer said Monday.

15 years that's pretty lenient, in other countries he would have been given a life sentence. He is lucky that he is Tibetan, a Han Chinese may have faced the firing squad already. The Han Chinese are much more lenient to Tibetans because they don't want to look like they discriminate.
