I'm a Chinese, firstly I'd like to state my nationality, despite of some preduce which might be aroused for that.
Drug traficking is a felony in China, when the total amount reaches some level, it's highly likely that the people involved would be sentenced to death penalty, no matter they are Chinese or not. Now, u are demanding a clemency for a dealth-penalty felon, which would definitely bring forth huge injustice to the law system and imbalance to Chinese people.
Furthermore, u guys just mentioned the opium war which started by the so called civilized country Britain, as to Chinese, it's a traumatic history. So if u still label yourself as civilized, please do introspect the atrocities u did to the people while stop dragging ur long-gone disgraceful past. If u don't and dare brandish u flags and say "Let's have an another opium war", then come and let me give u a lesson to ur piece of shit.

You missunderstand the Major. He is taking the piss out of England, not China. He is knowledgable in Chinese history and so is a friend of China against the lies of the west and their running dogs. I don't think he likes drug runers either!

Only drug addicts have reasons to like drug runners.

Oh I don't know. They are OK with a some countries too. The allies don't mind them and are protecting their crops in Afgananam. The odd government has done a little drug tarding in the past though so it's just like a family business with a few generations of experience.

There is no justice in China, the man was insane and was led astray. He knoweth not what he is doing, needs rehab.

There is no proof that he was insane. Even if he was suffering from a bi-polar disorder then it isn't a defence in Chinese law so just a red herring. There is no proof that he was led astray, however, if his defence had concentrated on providing proof that he was duped into carrying drugs rather than giving up and just claiming insanity then he wouldn't have been found guilty. But then I suspect there was no evidence he was duped.

So blame the defence council for a rubbish job or blame him for being guilty but don't blame China for having higher standards than you. Meanwhile perhaps you'd like to remind us how many Brits have been executed by America, in say the last 20 years, who would have preferred rehab for their crimes?

Chinese Canadian here. As a member of the hosting country of a Chinese dissent, let me say this: the actions done by the West (if you categorize Canada and UK as the same thing) is pure hypocrisy. When Canadian government refused to give the criminal back, they did so on the grounds of Judicial independence (not the media reported "human rights"), and now ... the British govn't are talking with the Chinese government? what's up with that?

"...huge injustice to the law system and imbalance to Chinese people."

Are you referring to the Chinese death vans, or the legal human organ trafficking for money? Perhaps you are referring to the 'Death by 1000 cuts,' in which, ironically, 3600 cuts were usually made on the victim.
