I surfed the net and find that:
1. Majority of Chinese support their government, In fact a survey (by BBC?) put it at 98.5%.
2. Although the british media are against the execution, the readers' comments seem to support capital panishment.
3. News media in Asia countries (Singapore, Malaysia, Japan) seem to be more even-handed but the readerships think that China has the right and should execute this man.

Perhaps it is not about military power but simply an issue of national sovereignty. In short, Gordon Brown should butt out.

Gordon Brown appears to have taken the hint and there is nothing new from his office today that I can see. The excitement in the UK newspapers seems to have subsided apart from a splutter here and there that you have to dig for.

Chinese sovereignty remains intact. Yesterday's news....

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Pisces

You're raring to go today, especially on domestic projects. You'll achieve a tremendous amount if you're allowed to proceed at your own pace and in your own time, but you'll soon get ratty if you suspect someone is breathing down your neck or trying to tell you what to do. You'll also feel irritated with people you know really well, so be prepared for a few fireworks.
