What comes around goes around. Whats good for the goose isn't always good us, as this proves. But the saying that Chinese will eat just about everything, isn't always true.

Look, it's Drew and the Scout Lady!!! Tell 'em you haven't seen me...

Then no more China food to come to US. Stop now. Then no more Us food to go to China. US has regulations and quality control. Someone in China would just put some dirt in a can and sennd it here to sell.

We really shouldn't be trading with a nation that violates human rights and manufactures potentially lethal goods.

Since China is always persuing a political agenda I would speculate that the reason is more political than humanitarian. If they really found something the UN would be called in to inspect the "tainted" fish.

Just stop importing food from China and review all halted trade before renewing. Stop trade with China now because US loses money to China over and over. Maybe even nationalize China interests in US financial markets and US economy.

On the lead paint and toy issue, the Chinese manufacturers still have until August 2009 to sue the American Toy Companies for providing them 'SPECS' to build toys for them, SPECS which were not approved by the US government and had resulted in the defamation of Chinese products.
On the nixing of 47 tons of Sardines, I am afraid we have no other recourse but to swallow it.
On trade with China, if we stop, we lose. On the 1.5 trillion the Chinese had invested on US saving bonds, we will do them a favor if we raise the payable interest from the fixed 3%. Another problem is that saving bonds can not be nationalized again because it is our national debt which they can cash in any market besides the US. Saving bond is also like our greenback which is negotiable any where on this planet Earth.
We have screwed ourselves with our Minimum Wage Law, which has made this country a welfare state for Americans and for 12 millions plus illegal aliens. Image a welfare state for the illegal aliens. What a FARCE! Amen

China is not getting any saving bonds. It sponsors a group of rouge Americans who buy corporations, strip them and flip them(sell them full of debt). We are not doing them any more favors for China. They use arbitrage against our economy in the wealth transfering agreements that the fool Jimmy Carter signed with China and the Soviets. It is all a ripoff of USA and we have already lost. Cut the losses now. Stop all trade and transfers of money, technology and goods to and from China now! Review it in Congress for a year like 2008.
Convergence be damned.
