Dalai Lama nephew walks 900 miles to NYC for Tibet

Apr 18, 2009 Full story: The Associated Press 27

The Dalai Lama's nephew has finished a 900-mile walk across America to protest what he calls Chinese suppression of Tibetans.

After the four-week trek from Indiana to New York, Jigme Norbu's feet were full of painful blisters and were missing nails and the feeling in one toe.

'But I feel energized, because the cause itself energizes me,' Norbu said Saturday, a day after emerging from New Jersey through the Lincoln Tunnel.

Capping his 'Walk for Tibet,' Norbu led a noon rally Saturday in front of the Chinese consulate on Manhattan's West Side.

Strange how the sensorship round here is trying to keep you ignorant. I replied to this 3 times yesterday and every single post has been deleted.

Have a look in China Daily' BBS, Tibet issue, in the thread titled "Guess Who's collecting DL's gifts made of human bones?"

I'd have posted the link but they just get deleted. If this gets deleted then it is a clear example that there is no true freedom of speech in America.

I wish and earnestly hope those buddhist Monks should shift their residesence from DHARMASALA
( India) AND SETTLE IN BURMA, THAILNAD, SRILANKA and pray .
Religious people should keep aloof from politics.
If they wish to entangle in politics they should clean their dirty toilet first before they go out to make revolutions.

As an Indian born Athiest i cannot understand the clans of Dalai lama.
My name is Rama fuchs

See what Tsering, a Tibetan in New York, said about Dalai Lama and family.

Apparently, not everyone in the Tibetan exile community agree with what Dalai and family are doing!

But the media in this country won't report about it.

I have encountered the same problem. That is called internet freedom?
