Every emerging country that is transforming from 3rd to 1st world has these problems.

Japan was famous for it, even putting Made in the USA labels on products because they had set up factories on an island called, you got it, Usa.

I am always very careful what I buy in China, usually turning to high end stores and paying a bit more, rather than taking my chances on a smaller vendor. You just got to be careful, every Chinese person knows this.
