BANGKOK: Laos plans two mega railway lines

The Lao government plans to build a massive 420km high-speed railway from the Chinese border to Vientiane, and a 220km high-speed railway linking Lao Bao on the Vietnamese border with Savannakhet on the Thai border.

this is sweet news for LAOS.
fact is that high speed railway is better than a highway investment.
fact is the returns on this investment will outweigh the input in a decade in terms of symbiotic industrial synergy spread out like viruses and bacteria along the rail route.
