Cheating and plagiarism are very common in China. Things that would get a student expelled in the USA merely get a slap on the wrist in China.

This is an area China needs to meet head on if they expect to be respected.

Have the Chinese come up with anything in the past few thousand years that they didn't rip-off?

Cheating is bad but plagiarism is probably not an issue. Some one here once said there is no such thing as intellectual property nor intellectual ownership in China.

Oh my;

"Cheating among college students appears to have become the norm in U.S. society. Research indicates that more than 70 percent of U.S. college students plagiarize writing assignments (Tyre 2001). Cheating on exams and plagiarism are nothing new, but educators today are alarmed by their prevalence. Three factors underlie any kind of cheating: motive, method, and opportunity."

OUCH!

I know about cheating in America, you get a slap in the wrist in America too if you get caught in America unless you are rich and powerful then they turned their head the other way. In China you get a bullet in the back of your head. Have you heard of Bernis Madoff who stole 56 billion dollars and got only jail time and the rest of his at least two dozen cohorts are still freed.

Except for the Chinamen that copy American software, designer goods, Apple stores and fast food restaurants. The last original idea to come out of China was the fortune cookie.

That fortune cookie was invented in the USA, probably in San Francisco

Faith you are one dumb racist and a liar, it was invented in San Francisco, the fortune cookie. We do not call our friends the Chinese the "C" word either.
Especially when they bailed out our Detroit automakers by buying up their cars, you are no American, you do not know what is happening in America, who are the two political leaders in this country for their respective parties?

Don't expect people who comments about China in these forums to actually know anything about Chinese people and culture.

Yes, the cookies are American, Chinese people have never heard of them along with most of the other foods we call "Chinese" in America.

Yes I live in the Bay Area and I know much more about America than you do because I love America. I criticize China and some even accused me of being a Chinese hater but I do not use racial slurs nor derogatory terms, I do it by telling the truth. We march and protest about China along with the Tibetans, Uighurs and FLGs in the S.F. Bay Area all the time about China's abysmal human rights.

You live in whereever, you hate Americans unless they are you type of Americans, so you best get out too.

When was he inside of you for you to yell at him to pull out like that? That is the best you can to do the immigrants, telling them to get out.

The Whites tell the rest to get out, while the American Indians are living with bitterness.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Virgo

You have a very high opinion of a certain person today, believing that they can do no wrong. But how realistic are you being? It looks as though you're viewing the world through rose-colored glasses, which is fine if it's only a temporary state but quite another matter if you're deliberately ignoring problems and pretending that they don't exist.
