I have traveled to China and toured manufacturing facilities and testing companies and it is a complete free-for-all. Bribery is rampant, competition is fierce, enforcement is non-existant, and no one is concerned about possible consequenses.

American and European customers are to blame as well as most negotiations come down to price and cutting corners is a way of life. This will never end until the Chinese government seriously cracks down and not just as window dressing, but that will be a long time coming.

The USA has outsourced everything, it seems, to China, over the last 30 years, and it has come back to bite us, with deaths in our pets, among other other results. Unfortunately, the USA did not outsource quality control, to the Chinese firms. I also think that the US government has been lax in testing Chinese foodstuffs headed here.

These asian nations are all filthy unhealthy places for disease to fester. They keep game ,pountry and reptiles stacked in cages in markets. They are responsible for SARS, asian bird flu, hong cong flu and every other pandemic you can imagine. Get some regulation of your food you frickin pigs.
