This entire article is based on the assumption that it's opening sentence is TRUE, i.e. "From the Gospel to Google, the church has been seeking ways to announce the word of Christ for 2,000 years." The fact of the matter is that MOST of what the church teaches is NOT the word of Christ.
How long would a Starbuck's store bed allowed to stay in business if were found to be selling Folger's coffee?
If you want a taste of wisdom, rather than foolishness on this matter, then Google "JesusWouldBeFurious " (one word) so see what Jesus probably thinks of the charade of this "church".

Let's look at it strictly from the standpoint of science.

Latex gloves and latex condoms have a common problem. They
are porous membranes. They have holes in them.

Ask any janitor, any doctor, or any nurse whether or not they
wash their hands after they take their latex gloves off and they
will answer yes because they know the latex glove is not
a perfect barrier against germs and disease.

The same thing can be said of the latex condom. It is not a
perfect barrier against germs and disease. Likewise, the latex
condom is not a perfect barrier against pregnancy.

The HIV virus is a virus that is designed to penetrate the
porous membrane of a human cell.

Let's analyze it. In our analysis, the healthiest sperm
is called a honeydew mellon (HM), the majority of the sperm (MS)
are closer to a honeydew mellon size and the latex condom is
referred to as (LC). In our analysis, the HIV
virus is the size of a grain of sand (GS). A cantelope (C) is the
average size of the hole in the LC. In our analysis, the weakest
most defective sperm (DS) can still pass thru because they are
smaller than C.

The batches of PM that have a higher than 15 percent failure rate
against preventing MS from crossing thru the LC are rejected
by the US government as defective and are not permitted to be sold.
(They are still given away free)

Now, just because the LC can stop MS and the HM 85 percent of
the time doesn't mean that the DS are stopped. Likewise, the GS
which is designed to penetrate any even smaller porous membrane
than the LC is made of, looks at the C size holes as a front door
and an open door; an open invitation.

This ladies and gentlemen is the magnified view of "safe-sex".
I call it slow suicide. I can also call it unnatural selection. The
only thing the Eugenists have given us is a sure fire way of
destroying our species.

NObody said it was perfect you ignorant moron. But it is better than unprotected sex and does prevent unwanted birth and helps protect against STDs. Your idiotic pope wants to destroy the planet through overpopulation. So in a word...why don't you shut the f*ck up!

Grow up. You know condoms do have a 100 percent failure rate of preventing more than 1 STD don't you?

The Roman Catholic clergy - who are supposedly psychologically and morally mature adults -voluntarily swear before God to abstain from sexual activity and then prove that they are unable to do so.
Yet these same paragons of wisdom and holiness dare to deny OTHERS and particularly young people every choice but total ABSTINENCE or "celibacy" as the ONLY way to protect themselves from disease!
The only way for Catholic clergy to avoid such collossal HYPOCRISY is to do what I did and LEAVE the priesthood, if not the Catholic Church as a whole, which is what I am proud to have done.

The holes in a condom are large enough for many STD diseases to pass through unimpeded. HIV is merely one of them.

Put a latex glove on your hand and put it in a bucket of cold water without letting the top get under water. See how long it takes for your hand to get soaked.

Now do the same with warm water. Figure it out for yourself.

With the number of catholics dwindling faster the a crash of the stock market the pope want all the possible catholics he can get. This religion is based on FEAR. Eat meat on Friday or miss mass on Sunday or attend a non catholic service you are condemmed to hell if you don't get to confession and never do it again. All those poor jerks that went to hell before the new rule was made it was ok to do this, are they still there? What about those in limbo or purgatory? Those places don't exist anymore. Get a non catholic to convert and you are guarenteed a ticket to heaven. People are starving yet the pope doesn't spend a dime helping. He is the biggest phony walking the face of this planet. I am no longer a catholic because of the all the phony lies I was thought. The pope feels it is morally proper to bring children into this world that you cannot afford and let them suffer. Only the ignorant follows this religion to the T.

The Catholic Church really needs to lighten up and loosen up. Did those convicted child molesting priests use condoms? Condoms like anything else are not 100% fail safe, but its better than no precaution at all to prevent disease or unwanted pregnancy. I hate getting down to this level really, but they need to stay the hell out of people's bedrooms. Enough said.

You are judging all priests by a few bad apples. Typical. Of course, you are apparently one of the bad apples too.

You mean the homosexuals who infiltrated the church during the sexual revolution with the goals of undermining catholic teaching and exploiting innocent children?

Let's be honest,it was more than just a few bad apples. It was also compounded by the churches attempt to cover the scandal up at every level.Who knows how many cases of abuse were never reported or just covered up.

Yeah, there was a group of homosexuals who got together and came up with this plan just to undermine the church. They had secret meetings and everything during the sexual revolution...How ignorant can you be to not know the difference between a homosexual and a pedophile.Let me explain the difference to you homosexuals like to have sex with others of the same sex.Pedophiles wear black with white collars and stand up in front of the church.

Percentage wise it really was just a few bad apples. Even Jesus had a Judas.

I think the word your looking for is pediphile aka child molester.Undermine the church and exploit little boys - yes they absolutely did and got away with it for way too long because the church was doing everything it could to cover up for it.

Most of these cases happened years ago. What has happened? These "dissenting priests" and "dissenting theoligians" and even "dissenting bishops" have retired. Their only use to a press that has known all along that they rejected church teaching, their only use now to a press that encouraged them to reject church teaching is to use their misbehavior to attack the church.

Kudos to the liberal psychiatrists who said that these men were healthy enough to return to the ministry.

The majority of the victims are males, by males. Sounds like homosexuals to me. Actually, homosexuals within the clergy were the ones that began actively recruiting other homosexuals. They were encouraged by the socialist pro-nazi liberal german bishops here in the US. Hunthausen, Weakland, Gumbleton etc.

The church is still fighting the intrusion.

Thankfully as people become more educated the catholic church is visibly fading away.
