Governments must lead by example. I therefore hope that the government of Cameroon from President Biya to the lowly public service employee acting for the government stop subscribing to the culture of corruption. Even if you are a government employee and unhappy with your poor pay, you must not allow yourself to be drawn into corruption. When the men in power at the top engage in corruption, it is hard for the ordinary people to see corruption is wrong. Cameroon government by actions or inactions has to be held responsible for the corruption that has invaded the culture of the country. Even some Cameroonians abroad end up behaving like a corrupt government official - doing the very things they hated the government doing back in Cameroon. That is very sad and unless corruption is stamped out, the future for Cameroon as an economy and for the soul of its people is desperate and sad. Those who turn a blind eye to corruption culture are just as guilty as those who carry out corrupt actions.
