And yet absolutely nothing has changed in my life, yours or the next guy's life in the least because of this. Besides, I'm not a Democrat. I just can't stand corporate fetch boys and the bleary eyed flock trying to call the shots in my country. I never really cared for politics, until I worked on the frontlines of what you believe in, and saw first hand what a bunch of conniving, self serving, Bible thumping kooks they all were. Practically every politician you see on television who is a Tea Party Member, or with the GOP is being paid directly by oil billionaires. Follow the money. Remember when gas prices were $4 a gallon, years ago when Bush was in office? THAT had an effect on my life. Abortion? Gay marriage? Not in the least. How about you? Also, it was a $10,000 safety valve that caused the spill in the gulf. Because BP had been deregulated by Bush, BP saved all of $10,000 to not install it. As far as the damage done to the gulf, you really should go with what the people who live there are saying, as opposed to the commercial you watched about how good things are. You know, the one BP put out. I know you feel like you somehow have a finger on the pulse of what has happened down there, but I'm guessing it's due to you being as blind as the thousands and thousands of fish they are catching with no eyes, due to the chemicals they used to break down the oil.
The religious right has kept our nation decades behind other countries in alternative methods of energy, due to it catering to a very wealthy, oil money, small percent of this country. A percent that doesn't give a rat's @ss about this country and have operated in a global market, without borders for years. They have kept our interests chained to the middle east, with little or no effort by just tossing in some religious crap and a little flag waving. What amazes me is the fact that you idiots somehow think that wealthy 1% includes you.
I wish it did include me.

One of my tenants is on SS disability--and not the kind where his doctor just wrote him a note. He's f'd up. Anyway, he complained to me about his electric bill being higher. I explained that my electric bill was high as well. It's all due to DumBama. He closed down the plant where we got our electricity from, and the one we get our power from now had to invest millions for DumBama's new cafe standards.

My tenant is not alone. Citizens are now suffering more because of clean air standards. People who live check to check don't need this problem because DumBama wanted to buy votes from environmentalists. Does he care? Hell no.

Did it change my life? Yes. Did his sin tax on people making less than $250,000 per year change my life? Yes. How about my employer lowering our healthcare coverage because it became unaffordable to keep that plan for his employees? You bet. Being able to answer my %$# cell phone while driving a truck? Yes.

DumBama changed my life in many ways, and I won't even get into ATM or credit cards that are now an additional expense in my life.

Who Obama? Don't really think about him a whole lot. Too busy living my life in this prosperous and without a doubt, heading in the right direction country. You and yours, however, are just sour grape specks, standing in a cloud of dust, getting smaller and smaller in the rear view mirror of America. The only piper involved is the one you and yours finally have to pay for the little song and dance your "mission Accomplished" goon squad had at the middle class's expense. As far as me not getting what I wanted, we'll let the last two elections decide who got what they wanted. Enjoy your Rice-a-roni consolation prize and have a safe trip back to Hooptieville, where the men are bold and the cousin's are nervous. Thanks for playing.
Nice try, but you really need to stop watching the rose colored glasses networks.

Ahhhhh ha ha ha ha! You tried to blame the companie's poor choices on Obama. Seeing Bush was president then, what a stretch. Just admit it. You guys don't like black people.
I'm saying obama has done nothing to stop jobs going over seas. So you haven't had a job since bush was president huh? Really sorry to hear that. maybe if you got a paycheck you would know how much everyones taxes went up this year. Except corporate taxes, they stayed the same, along with all those loopholes in the fiscal cliff deal obama signed. So much for that campaign promise, and that other campaign promise about taxes.

To Canton: It's the Republicans fault:

Obama administration has SLASHED budget for domestic bombing prevention by 45 per cent, says former Homeland Security Assistant Secretary

Barack Obama's administration has cut the budget nearly in half for preventing domestic bombings, MailOnline can reveal.

Under President George W. Bush, the Department of Homeland Security had $20 million allocated for preventing the use of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) by terrorists working inside the United States. The current White House has cut that funding down to $11 million.

That assessment comes from Robert Liscouski, a former Homeland Security Assistant Secretary for Infrastructure Protection, in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombings on April 15 that killed three Americans and injured at least 173 others.

He told MailOnline that the Obama-era DHS is, on the whole, about as well-positioned as it was during the Bush administration to handle the aftermath of the April 15 bombings in Boston,'but the Obama administration has continued to cut the budget for offices such as the Office for Bombing Prevention from $20 million started under Bush, to $11 million today.'

Here's an excellent video of LIVs [low info voters] being interviewed. It shows how close attention they pay and how ate up they are about their causes. Enjoy.

Those folks didn't seem like typical "low information voters" to me, at least how that term is usually defined.

"...around us is a prevailing anti-intellectualism and hostility to science; it is this group that defines "low-information voter" - or, perhaps, "misinformation voter."

http://truth-out.org/index.php... #[3]

"Linguist George Lakoff has written that the term is a pejorative mainly used by American liberals to refer to people who vote conservative against their own interests, and assumes they do it because they lack sufficient information."
