Is there a monetary collection being taken up for him? God bless him he is an angel for doing the right thing. We need to give him more than 5 minutes of fame. Make an example that people should get involved.

I hope this man gets a hefty reward and a great job offer and perhaps a new area to live! He deserves it.

He probably saved those girls lives. I love hearing him talk he is so verbal and passionate. May God give him many many blessings!

truly an angel!!

charles ramsey is the best example of why we all should get involved ANYTIME that we see something wrong. the "none of my business" attitude doesn't fly with me anymore.

this is truly the most amazing news story that i have ever seen and charles ramsey will not be forgotten. not by many of us and certainly not by the victims or their families. ♥

It doesn't take much to be a hero in Cleveland.

I totally agree, he is a hero!! I did notice however that the other guy that was with him at the time of the rescue of Amanda and her daughter made sure he got the Media's attention AFTER the fact that Ramsey may get a reward. He couldn't speak English so therefore he had an interpreter beside of him to do the talking for him. Ramsey even said in his first interview that this Spanish guy was there with him but the guy couldn't even speak English and had no idea what Amanda was saying so he looked at Ramsey like "Do What"! In my opinion, if you can't speak English, then what the hell are you even doing in the United States! The government should make it very clear that if one stays in this country then they have to learn the language or get the hell out!! Before anyone can call me a bigot or racist, I AM NOT. I just believe in what is right and what is wrong and plain ole common sense. If you can't speak English, then why would you even wanna live in a country where you can't communicate?? Ramsey is definitely a hero and deserves to be treated so!! Thank god he was home the day he was needed and thank god those girls are finally out of that torment!! As far as Castro goes, I think he needs to be turned over to the families of those he held captive and let them do what they please with him! I soooooo believe in vigilante justice in circumstances such as this!!

Why is everybody making this guy out to be a hero? Ramsey has been convicted 3x for felony domestic abuse and served time for those. He also served time for drugs, criminal trespass and stolen property. He ALSO has an order of protection against him from his ex-wife and daughter. He didn't pay child support and is delinquent. Still think he's a hero? I think not!!

He has already said and made it clear "I am no saint" The three times of domestic violence happened when he was very young and we do not know all the details, perhaps the wife fought too! Do I think its right if he hit his wife absoutly not!! but he has said how sorry he was, he was young and poverty can drive people to extremes, also the he was found with a joint on him one time which is the drug thing, and which almost every high school kid in america probably has in his or her locker or backpack, and the stolen property was buying a "hot" watch he did not know was stolen, he works at a very low paying job and tries to pay his wife what he can, he said he is no saint, but yes he is a hero...

Let me tell you what charles ramsey is NOT, he is NOT a rapist, or a killer, or a child predator or a kidnapper, he did not beat women to have abortions and he did not bound gag and starve women inches of their death nor did he father a fifteen year old girls baby and have chains ties and gags, he did NOT steal this girls lives away, he gave them back, so he had some trouble with the law? so many people especially in that area do. He saved those girls lives then said to give the reward money he had coming to the girl and NOT him, he may not be saint, but believe me he is these girls angel and a hero too! Had one of these girls been your sister or daughter or niece or friend you would be shaking his hand, he IS a hero!!

No he's not a hero.Soldiers who risk their lives fighting for this country are heroes, Firefighters who risk their life are heroes. Police who risk their lives are heroes. Charles Ramsey did not prevent those girls from being raped/tortured nor did he risk his life for them. He himself said it was Angel Cordero who kicked the door down to get Berry out but just because Cordero can't speak English the media gives the credit to Ramsey.

I agree you with you our firefigthers, soldiers, policemen, etc... ARE heros and I have nothing but respect for them how they risk their lives daily to save ours, they are trained professionals through, Charles Ramesey was NOT trained, he even said he was scared, but "rose above it" to help those women, and I agree Angel Cordero should get credit also, they BOTH were hero's that day, what touched me was when Ramsey said "I dont want the reward money give it to the girls" isn't that being a hero, I hope when all the fanfare dies down, both men split the reward for a better life for their families. Amanda was a hero too, many hero's in this story...
And you are probably going to bring up the domestic violence again, and I agree that WAS very wrong of Mr. Ramesy but he has repented for that. What about the NFL players, of ALL teams I have heard horror stories about these "so-called hero's" big bad football players, and other sports of course, domestic violence is a biggie for them, also DUI, drugs, cheating etc.......they did worse than charles ramesy but because they are rich, people turn their heads? even Dan Marino, all american boy was caught being unfaithful, was it right for him too do that, and possibly bring diseases home to his family?? I think not, and tiger woods, but I read a lot about sports players and domestic violence,,,, I hope it stops in all cases. I am quite sure those girls think Mr. Ramsey is a hero and he is!!

Sorry Folks somehow the above post got very very jumbled! The FIRST paragraph was NOT me writing that was supposed to be a "Quote" from the poster Angelus, I did NOT write Mr. Ramesy is not a hero He most certainly is! I think the posts just got garbled and mixed up. The second longer part of the letter is me writing, its probably easy to figure out! Thanks....

i knew what you meant brandie, maybe these same people will start a thread trashing the 3 girls, calling the kidnappings their fault. after all they deserved it right?

no one is trash talking the perpetrator here, no one.

and i am starting to understand that the people who are trashing charles ramsey are people who empathize with ariel castro, there are some sick f---ing people on this website.

you brought up such a great point! a black nfl star can beat his wife and get repeated dui's and he's still adored by millions. let a poor black man who does the same thing rescue 3 kidnap victims and he's a villan.

another good point brandie...only what those 3 girls think is important and i'm sure they love him. what the rest of us say is irrelevant.

i still think we have some ariel castro fans here. did ariel castro get to play some sick fantasy life that you only dream of but are too scared to do yourself or are you people just so bored with your own lives that you jump on the bandwagon to trash talk anyone for any reason? to trash a man who rescued kidnap victims? seriously...how old are you twisted f--ks?

You are apparently so bored with your own life that you have to spend time on here accusing others of being bored with theirs.

And you are too dim to realize the hypocrisy.

i also understand that since nothing anyone says on here will change anyone's mind about anything, that every moment we all spend on this website is a complete and utter waste of time.
That is why you must accept that Charles Ramsey contradicted his 911 call statements with his interview. He is getting food delivered to his home, debit/gift cards mailed to him and most importantly his crack tab is being paid off by other crackheads. Those crackheads are the real victims here.
