I live in Ky in the west end and we have one county with 20 percent unemployment, 20 percent! The only jobs there is fast food work. I am begging you Ohio for the good of America we need a successfull business man not a community organizer Both are noble jobs however one is clearly better for this mess we are in. Obama is not qualified to run this country effectively. Joe BIden needs anger management counseling and he is our number 2?! Please the nation needs Ohio please vot Romney. I am offended at a handout I want to work.

Im with you Fred. Obama is an ass backwards. We are behind and he says we are going forward.
We cant afford 4 more years of Obama.

Obama killed 4 Americans in Benghazi. Obama did not kill bin Laden despite popular rumor. Our brave troops who risked their lives for our lives, killed bin Laden. And just remember, the US had bin Laden in custody and Clinton allowed him to go from US custody. Bin Laden was enabled to blow the Trade Center a second time and more than 5,000 lost their lives.

Obama might be celebrating Bin Laden's death but Im not. He should have been alive and kicking in an American prison cell from the time he blew the World Trade Center the first time and we had him in custody.

As Americans if there was ever a time to band together it is now our future is at stake. I will go to any forum to convince people. I am telling you 20 percent it could come to your area with another 4 years of mr Obama.

Fred in ky, the repub are laughing at you, you are the 47% that Romney wipes his ass with, you are not a republican, you are broke, you were broke when bush was in, when Clinton and when the first bush, the only thing you have in common with Romney is that u are white, u are not in his class. Real republicans are rich, u are not, cantor and boeiner laugh at you when u believe a liar like mitt is going to give u a job, mitt is a puppet to be used, he only wants this job so that his family name can say president, it baffles me when I see people vote against their own economic interest, you who live in the red states are on the most gov assistance, you are the people stealing coal on the highway and then u call yourself a repub while drinking homemade moonshine ,wake up. No matter. This is the last election that the white male vote can ever elect someone alone, in 2016 Texas will be a gossip with all of the Hispanics coming in and after that you will have to vote for the best candidate because you will be in the minority

Thanks for your post. I was listening to the closing speeches yesterday. I heard Mr. Obama say something like, "Until every person in America who wants a job has one, we're not finished..."

I wanted to scream at the television. I would much prefer he have the mentality of, "Until every able-bodied person in America who has the mental and physical ability to work is working..."

I applaud you for wanting a job, for knowing the true American way is to make your own destiny, not to wait for a handout. I also pray that Ohio, as well as the other "swing" states, will vote for Mr. Romney. We truly cannot afford four more years of Obama mentality.
Red Poverty States

Has anyone in the southerns states noticed your Republican Senators and congressmen haven't lifted you out of poverty in over 30 years? Right now the only things keeping high poverty states residents fed or employed is government aid,(thanks to Blue states), gas stations, bars, fast food restaurants, and import discount stores like Wally World and dollar stores.

All those old foundries, mills, factories that made furniture, jeans, books, auto parts, clothing, lawn mower engines, most were sent to other countries. The exodus started 40 years ago and hasn't stopped yet. Bain Capitol's investment plant in IL, Sensata just tossed another 107 jobs to China in the name of profits.*Bain and Sensata executives did not have a lot of time to talk about the 170 workers being terminated at the Freeport plant. The executives have had more pressing issues, such as setting up 12 Sensata/Bain capital funds “organized under the laws of the Cayman Islands” so as to avoid paying taxes.

If you think giving the Republicans control of the White House after they've gutted the poorest Southern states, you are out of your minds. The only major industries that are left in poor Red states are from other countries. After over 10+ years of tax cuts and subsides for corporate farms private nuclear waste dumps sites, ear marks for private contractor buddies. Where the jobs for US workers in poor states are given to others who are driven in by the truck loads for roofing jobs, paving jobs, highway maintenance, who aren't legal, so they can treat them like garbage and they will take it. Where a Red state worker making $14,000 a year qualifies for Food Stamps. The GOP NEVER intended to give a rats behind about the 47% if they can't pad their pockets in any way. Welcome to GOP KKKountry son.

Here's some of Mitt's Vulture Capitalist Ventures.(They don't intend to save you darlin, they just want to pimp you out and sell your hide before you die.)

*American Pad & Paper: Bain invested $5 million in the small paper company in 1992, and reportedly collected $100 million in dividends on that investment. AMPAD went bankrupt in 2000, laying off 385 employees.

• Dade Behring: Bain Capital invested $415 million in a leveraged buyout in 1994, borrowed an additional $421 million, and ultimately walked away with $1.78 billion. Dade filed for bankruptcy in 2002, and 2,000 workers lost their jobs.

• DDI Corporation: Bain Capital reportedly invested $46.3 million in 1997, reaping $85.5 million in profits and an additional $10 million in management fees. When the company later went bankrupt, 2,100 workers were laid off.

• GS International: In a somewhat less profitable transaction, Bain Capital invested $60 million in 1993 and received $65 million in dividends. This company, too, went bankrupt in 2002, and 750 workers lost their jobs.

• Stage Stores: Bain invested $5 million to purchase the company and took it public in the mid-’90s, reaping $100 million from stock offerings. Stage filed for bankruptcy in 2000, and 5,795 workers reportedly were laid off.

Chinese company opening a manufacturing facility in Ringgold, 8 miles east of Danville, Virginia, 20 minute drive from NC state line. A Manassas, Virginia company moving corporate headquarters to Danville, Virginia in the old Dan River Mills corporate headuarters. Another company, pharmaceutical, opening in Danville, Virginia Riverside section. Total jobs 300+100+40=440. To you Virginia may be a northern state but actually Virginia is a southern state with Republican Governor Bob McDonnell. The great and wonderful President Obama has the EPA tell Celanese stop using coal. Bob McDonnell, Republican governor of Virginia, gives Celanese $500,000 to change from coal to natural gas, Celanese does, expands, hires 20 more permanent employees, working 200 temporary construction employees. The plant is on New River at Narrows, Virginia, southern state. 5,000 permanently unemployed coal miners gather in Grundy, Virginia, population 1100, to protest the Obama government's shutdown of the coal mines. hillbilles, mountaineers and southerners look out for their own when your DC socialists leaves us alone. We don't need that socialist on the banks of the Potomac. We can make a living when your socialist, communist buddies leave us alone.

North Carolina is a southern state, farther south than Virginia. Caterpillar is not a Chinese company but an Illinois company from Peoria. Caterpiller is building a manufacturing facility near Kernersville between Winston Salem, High Point and Greensboro, yes, North Carolina. I could write a lot about companies, businesses, houses, condos, apartments being built all over the Republican neglected south, you know the land of those ignorant confederates, hillbillies, mountaineers and rednecks. come on, let's hear how wonderful your socialism and federal gubmint is, how all of us ignoramuses need to get on the gubmint dole. Socialism is so much greater than American Constitutionalism, ain't it. The Russians and Vietnamese think so, don't they? At least those who ain't in extermination camps. No matter what the socialists in the states do, we will always love our freedom. A lot of us have the blood of William Wallace, Robert the Bruce and their followers flowing in our veins. God bless Constitutional Amereica!!!

The Caterpillar distribution center that will employ 100 to 150 people is an excellent opportunity for any small town but most small dirt poor towns can't afford the perks they have to give companies before they will relocate to their towns, like free utilities or tax abatements for 5 to 10 years. Most want a ready built shell or building on site and all utilities in place before they will even take offers of bribes/tax incentives. Too many southern small towns have built Industrial Parks that now sit half or two thirds empty. Why? They can't compete with the free tax payer bribes larger cities pay companies to relocate there.

*One of the largest companies in Illinois (Caterpillar)is calling the state's business climate "rudderless" and "dysfunctional" after lawmakers failed to approve a package of tax perks to help several businesses threatening to leave the financially strapped state.

Some companies if they can't pull down the profits they want, sell out or go under after five years. Now days having a company in one spot for 50 to 80 years doesn't guarantee another state won't steal them away with better perks and incentives to leave. Caterpillar has scared the fuzz off of Illinois employees who hope to retire there. If a cash strapped towns has to bribe companies to build there with tax breaks, then to h3ll with them.
Businesses are supposed to accept risks not saddle the tax payer/worker with them. As a tax payer I have absolutely no obligation to make sure a company is a success. Unless it's about to go under or leave and drag down all those loyal workers with it. You see the problem of making companies dependent on tax payers for profits and workers dependent on paying bribes to companies just to have a darn job. You can bless the Constitution all you want but the founding fathers would crap their short pants to see the Plutocracy we have now. And you want to elect it's corporate mascot "Mittens"

Small towns don't give the perks. Perks come from cities like Winston Salem, Greensboro, Charlotte, Danville, etc and state capitals such as Raleigh and Richmond. The half million given to Celanese in Narrows, Virginia came from Governor Bob McDonnell and House of Delegates in Richmond. Charlotte, NC is now Charlotte-Mecklenburg as the city and county merged governments, same as Raleigh-Wake. In 20-30 years the entire Raleigh-Durham-Triad-Charlotte will be a 180 mile metropolis. We don't bless the Constitution. The Constitution blesses us

You have to look at taxes first before starting any business. It is going to be bankrupt if you don't. As a matter of fact, Obama said "you can build a new power plant, its just that it will bankrupt you". Beisedes we don't build businesses, Obama does. He said so. Remember, "you didn't build that business, someone else did". Whoever this someone else is, he must be a tremendous worker. LOL

I love your sentences, you can bless the Constitution all you want but the founding fathers would crap their short pants to see the plutocracy we have now. And you want to elect its corporate mascot mittens. Plutocracy and corporate. Watch it using them socialist terms. Some might label you a Washingtonian socialist. Certain phrases label people. If I used the term beaucoup dinky dau, some may think one of my parents is a Viet Nam War veteran. Plutocracy-the rule or power of wealth or of the wealthy. Is Obama or Clinton plutocrats? No, Bush and Romney are the plutocrats. Republicans rich, democrats poor. Republicans plutocrats, Democrats poorocrats. Gotcha. I'm beginning to think Romney Robbed taxpayers is a leftist, socialist at the very least, maybe the communist type. Hmmmm!!!
