My family and I were deeply saddened to hear of Father Tanno's passing. Not quite a month before, he led an informal graveside service for my grandfather Hazen Richardson. He comforted all of us in his words about life and death and talked about my grandfather not as a distant priest but as one who knew my grandfather well. After my grandfathers service, he and his wife joined my grandmother and parents, brothers, sisters, cousins and friends at Lunch on Limoge in Dade City with his wife Kay. I had heard so many wonderful things about Father Tanno and was privileged to meet him before he died. My condolences to his wife, children and other family members and close friends. You have lost someone very special and heaven has gained someone very special. I'm sure my grandfather was making his way in line to greet him!
