That's crazy!! I never gave a thought to that ever happening!! If they're doing road repair close to my house, I'll make sure we're all inside!! I'm very glad nobody was hurt.

Some one could have been killed. If that blade had hit the gas meter, the entire neighborhood could have been blown up. How can a grown "man" (And I am using that term loosely), a person either working for, or contracted by the city "accidentally" damage the home of complete stranger, then just walk away? What was he thinking? I certainly would not want this "man" in a crew working on my street. Would you? This should have been reported to the police when it happened. I hope this incident is thoroughly investigated, and those responsible punished.

Well I hope someone gets to the bottom of this..That is ridiculous. It must not have been mounted correctly in the first place. Just because noone was injured is no reason not to do an investigation into the city employee

First of all the gas meter was not charged, the gas in the house was OFF. Therefore, the whole neighborhood would not have "blown up". Second, it was not a contractor, but rather the City. People, GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT! Anyone who works in construction knows the risk and accidents do happen. Let's look at the bright side; no one was hurt and nothing "blew up." Get a life and get off of the blogs. They are making you stupider than you already are!
