Thanks Susan for finishing my post. I'm sure you enjoy that peace and quiet of your neck of the woods. You want some real excitement... A little story by Wolfman.. My family and I vacationed in Kiawah Island on the South Side of Charleston, SC a number of years ago. It was a little boring for my three kids, so we decided to go to Atlanta and check out SIx Flags amusement park located to the SW of downtown Atlanta. We found a Holiday Inn for a couple days. One night, I had a tremendous upset stomach right around midnight. So, I frantically looked for an open store. Well, to my surprise, there was a Kroger Store, lite to all it's glory, and I was relieved. Well, I ran in the store, picked up a bottle of Pepto and got in line.. There I realized, I was the only white person in this very busy store. I could have sworn my watch or something was wrong.. 12:30 am and the place looks like it's Noon on a Saturday in my local neighborhood store. I can remember watching out the window to see if my Mini-Van was still there. LOL..

To the others reading - the question remains did he do it at all or act alone? The reality is nobody yet has known if these bodies were murdered on site or collected from the streets nearby, this is a community where drug culture is second nature like the leaves falling from the trees, the mayors niece lived with him until a year ago and she reports being taken care of very well by Sowell, I think these bodies were recently taken there by the human rats who had to discard them as unproductive sidewalk sales people and there are probably many more in the open empty homes around there that the human rats use as lookout posts. There is a lot of speculation now that someone who did not report the smell but reported while visiting the resident Sowell he was aggressive towards her and she left to report it as rape, next the police come along to question him and this discovery evolved. Sowell had driveway cookouts, folks there talked with him on the streets and sat on his steps to tip some cans of malt like we all do to cure our hands of the pain of raking leaves - with a week of cameras and interviews nobody has said they saw him bury the bodies, kill any of them or even hear the screaming victims cry out for help - if someone knows who killed these ladies please stand up.

Wolfman, you were lucky. That is a good scenario for why a conceal carry permit is a good thing:) I have friends and a brother that lives in GA. Not far from Atlanta, maybe an hour. They have never been in downtown Atlanta, they will not go near the place, they by pass it. According to them, it is not a very safe place to be, because thugs have ruined a big part of that city.

The mysterious question remains did Sowell do any of these murders? there is a word that repeats in this story--> drug <--, not race or serial killer. We know from Sowells prison release sheet he admits encountering 2 prostitutes during his time in the military, in 1990 he went in for attempted rape and did the 15 year sentence.
This is a community where drug culture is second nature, mayor Jackson's niece Lori Frazier reported Sowell took very good care of her, Sowell apparently had one of the victims as a visitor because a gentleman admits to dropping off Ms. Culver at the Sowell house, but with all the media interviews and questioning not one person has reported hearing or seeing Sowell digging any graves, burying anything, choking anybody and not a scream from any victims, Sowell had another lady visitor who said he was aggressive to her and she left - she did not complain about the smell but she filed the attempted rape charge on him bringing the police attention recently. One of the neighbors reported a naked lady who fell out of a window and they came to question her, it would have been hard for her to conceal any bruises so the police left after making sure she was alright. During a week of camera interviews Sowell's neighbors talked about coming to his driveway cookout, talking with him on the streets and sat on his front steps tipping some brews probably complaining about the sausage factory smell and the noisy car music that thumps around there all the time. With all the houses broken open in this area creating hide outs for the drug culture and other bad elements who knows if drug lords used Sowell's place as a dumping ground for the remains of old sidewalk walkers, open your eyes and see how fast UPS delivers packages with only one person on slushy streets and they get a signature - imagine one of the jacked up trucks with 3 dudes on a mission, the sausage factory smell is old to this area like the leaves blowing against the side of the buildings and the tires sitting in empty lots. Remember Sowell was not home for days, the police went there trying to find him, someone saw him walking several blocks away and drove to report him at the 4th district station then police cars were sent and picked him up without any problem or confrontation - wonder who that tipster was who could identify Sowell under the dark hoodie while driving? Is he a jealous one from the area, did he drive Sowell somewhere for a few hours while the delivery was in progress? He sure looked happy on the camera didn't he, "he found the guy", before the story unfolded into the horror of the week after halloween - amazing, truly an amazing man. Wonder why he did not call from someone's cell phone? On a mission?

The racist banter should be left out of here since it's off topic. Sowell is black. All the victims are black. All, or nearly all, the residents in the neighborhood are black. They are the ones who could have made some difference in this situation by not accepting something that should have been as clear as the nose on their face. Be it the odors, the people occasionally running out of the house, the families or friends that didn't check up on each other enough. That's the core issue. When a society, or a small slice of society, is so numb to the lifestyle and problems centered on drugs, alcohol and violence, that has to be examined closely in each person's heart. These killings are just the most visible. There's "murders" going on every day in these neighborhoods that add up to the total problem. Murders of family structure, murders of education, murders of personal responsibility and respect for authority. When values are reduced to the lowest level, it's a perfect environment for this type of carnage to take place.

Not sure what you are trying to say here. It is Since not sense and I don't see anything in the bible that says if you have a college degree, you can't get into heaven. You can be sick of it all you want, however the fact still remains that you will get a lot further with an education in life- than with out. As far as the women in this case are, their life choices and lack of common sense are truly the issue, not even if they were educated or not. A lot of people are "booksmart" they were just plain old lacking any common sense. You're right! It's not about education, It is about life choices. Sowell a 50 year old with a pacemaker who served 15 years for attempted rape and came out with good comments on the public release paperwork. During a week of camera interviews Sowell's neighbors talked about coming to his driveway cookout, spoke with him often on the streets and sat on his front steps tipping some brews probably talking about the sausage factory smell and the noisy car music that thumps around there all the time. With so many unoccupied houses broken open in this area creating hide outs for the drug culture and other bad elements who knows if the pimps did not use Sowell's place as a dumping ground for the remains of unproductive sidewalk workers, the police visited his house for days until he was taken after a mysterious tipster who was able to see him while driving wearing a mask and commented Sowell was all covered up in a hoodie - amazing man, he drove all those streets to the police station, no cell phone? how could he see Sowell, did he drive Sowell someplace for a few hours? I have seen hoodrats drive a car and strip it in an abandon driveway faster than I can tie my shoelaces, just watch a UPS truck make a delivery and get a signature on slushy streets, imagine 3 dudes in one of those jacked up trucks on a mission. After having a few responses from parents who are surprised that a family would go there I think all you parents reading this need to get your school age kids on a field trip over here to see this - the health class and family planning teachers will never have this chance to improve the curriculum in our lifetime.
