Did the medical examiners report come out? I know she was burned obviously, but did she first have a heart attack and then get burned, did she have an aneurism and die of smoke inhalation and then die in the fire, did she just fall, knock herself out in the fall while she was smoking and set the house on fire, does anyone know for sure?

I have to agree with the saying this town needs to get with the times. Obviously the riches from the businesses it was used to is no longer there. Mayor wants to restructure the village fine. It starts with a part time mayor, three council members, a certain number of full time fire and police filtered with part timers. the service department can get by with two full time people and the rest part time. it worked that way before.

sure was Hensley....115,000 on top of firemans salary Yeah guess he has a rough life...quite a few bad apples working here...How proud his mother must be...stealing money from those people while they have no home since 2007...What a bad living he must have. well one of the layed off men should take his place...so before people bash anyone they should be looking at the men that are still working and his councilwoman of a mother...real honest. I wouldn't trust him with anything including my life...wheres everyone at? nothing left to say...

<quoted text> I agree with what you said except one thing, I have to take my own garbage out as well, after all it is my families garbage, as your garbage belongs to your family, therefor I do not understand why you say "Why should we?". Why should someone else have to take out your garbage? Sorry but that one confuses me. My advice is that maybe on that day you could set your alarm for 5 minutes earlier. Thats what my family does on garbage days. I would also suggest that if you find out who is posting some of these ignorant comments and dredging things up from the past that have no weight to this situation, you include them in the trash and get rid of them as well. I have learned that the ones that throw the most stones and pretend to be problem free are the ones with the most serious issues and things to hide. Again I hope we are never there and one of my children ever need help, because one of the few doors I would want them to absolutely knock on would most certainly be Jacks. But with all the time he has to spend keeping the toddlers in the village under control, I could only pray he or anyone in his family is home. How many of you are his so called friends? You know, you, who claim to be supportive and act like your his friends when you need him only to turn around and blame him because your having a bad day, wouldn't blame(if this was actually a situation where blame could be placed)be on the firefighters who were asked to return to work and chose not to, no it wouldn't, because actually no-one is to blame this was a tragedy, bottom line, and the one who could have changed it needed a cigarette. I mean no disrespect. But again a tragedy. This is no-ones fault. The policemen on duty(thank god they were two of the good ones)did what they could do and of course they were there first, they were on patrol. The firemen did what they could, the outcome would have been the same. Next your going to blame the
neighbor who's children said there was a problem and were sent to bed, its not their fault either. Every one who played a part in trying to help should be commended, instead your damning people that do not deserve to be damned. Stop with this foolishness already and do what Jack and Todd did and spend time with your families, NOT HIDING, but spending quality time with your children, and I hope your children never find out how venomous their parents are, it would destroy them. Donna B, I apologize, I started to speak to you and things went awry-I do agree with you to some point, but sorry but I also believe your garbage is your household chore.
Stunned you miss understood what I said about the trash. I meant that we my family should be allowed to sit out our trash the night before. Sorry, I am a girl who likes to hit the snooze button, lol, getting up 5 minutes early is not a choice I want to make. My husband will take the trash out early on Monday if he can, but sometimes he has to be at work an hour away and his time is also precious. No apology needed. I agree this was a terrible tragedy and all of the folks who tried to help this poor older lady should be commmended and honored. Our safety forces take their lives in their hands everyday!! Police and firemen are first responders; these folks never know what type of situation they are going to come upon. The deal with death, violence and tragedy on a regular basis, plus making traffic stops, never knowing who they are stopping. There is no one to blame for this tragedy. There could have been 10 firemen and this poor lady could have still passed away. In a lot of ways, what this forum has done has allowed for folks outside our community to see the issues that we are facing, which in my opinion is not a good outcome. I hope that the issues presented here will be addressed in the near future by the elected officials in our community. Who amongst us want to see folks loose their jobs, non of us!

Where's the watchdog's next letter, I can't wait.
I hope he addresses a lot more. It makes for such interesting reading. I only who ever it is keeps it up, I know it's making a lot of people think and a lot of people pointing fingers at who they think it is. Who ever you are, dig up more!
How about the salaries of everyone in the Village, starting with the Chief's, all the secreataries,
and Service Department people. Let's see how much they all make. Some of us could only hope we could make what they do and have the hospitalization they do and they don't pay a cent to have it. Compare apples to oranges and see if you wouldn't like to be on this gravy train.

Just one correction to homeowner - hospitalization is not free to the employees. Money is taken out of every check and that goes towards the hospitalization.

Please clarify what you are trying to say. That is is possibly why no one has responded. Not everyone saw the news. Was it the councilperson or the son on the news? And please don't judge all the employees in one clump...

It was very nice to hear the fond memories that were shared of Patty Ezzo at the council meeting last night. Also, equally nice were the kind words expressed to the firemen and policemen at the meeting as well. We were encouraged by the kind things said and happy to know that the mean things said on this forum earlier about our safety forces were not the thoughts of most of the Village residents. We thank all that came and voiced their thanks. Please support your safety forces in the next election by voting NO on the collective bargaining issue, Issue #46. Thank you very much.

I was waiting for the firemen and whoever else to get up and start sticking up for themselves like everyone has indicated on here like they said they were gonna do...Their union leader didn't even do it...Shocked they said nothing to defend their jobs...just an example of how this type of site is just talk...Agreed nice to here good things. Credit is given when it is due. However everyone on here was trying to rally the troops and had so much to say about the mayor and everyone else but when it came right down to it...PURE SILENCE...Interesting to watch...

While giving credit where credit is due, I will compliment the Mayor on recognizing the fire and police for their actions that night. It was indeed interesting to see that no one on Council mentioned the issue at all - not one word of recognition from them at all. However, in total, I thought it was a very respectful meeting not filled with the nastiness that took place on this forum. As far as the firemen or whoever speaking up, what would you have them do, act arrogantly and pat themselves on the back for a job well done? No, they are obviously bigger men than that.

Cuyahoga hts has done it again. Mayor Jack Bacci was recorded threatening to burn down a black church while using a racial slur. Go to 19actionnews.com to see the full story from Carl Monday.

The mayor of Cuyahoga Heights (Jack Bacci) is still as crooked as he was when he was inflating vehicle speeds on tickets and working as a security guard while on duty as a cop. Council is more concerned with monument building and approving contracts awarded to relatives of council than looking after the best interests of the village and it's residents. Cuyahoga Heights schools got their additional 7.9 mil levy and plan to increase the existing 7.9 mil levy in the near future.$Millions missing and we're expected to trust them? Then there's the building inspector who is a partner in an architectural firm that has been involved in a number of projects. A definite case of conflict of interest that's ignored by the officials as is his selective enforcement and references to non-existant building code to force people to do things his way. Of course, the police are no better. They often overlook infractions by individuals with ties to council while abusively punishing minor infractions by others. Imagine seeing a car parked in a no parking area nearly every day for over two years without even one ticket. Imagine having a "neighbor" spraying weed killer along the side of your yard and on your bushes and being told they're allowed to do it. Cuyahoga Heights is circling the bowl and no amount of spit and polish will change the fact that the inept mayor and the self-serving council are responsible for the problems. Thank god they didn't get their staggered four year terms. It's bad enough the part time mayor is a four year term.

Sooo sick of hearing comments about police, fire and, service workers that moved out of town. Have you been to heights there is nothing for sale. If there is it is an old dilapidated house that reaks of cat piss and mold. Oh you cant be a good worker if you live out of town. Shut up. Many people grew up in this town went to school in this town got to adulthood and guess what time to get your own place oh and by the way there's no houses to buy unless you want to live with mom and dad in your 30's. Please just STFU.
