Hey, Friends of both (REALLY:) Do you honestly think this was not being pusued from the start. Everyone had the same feeling immediately after Matt's passing and that was ( Holly did this!!!)6 years ago we all said it and 6 years later we are still saying it and without any doubt. If you truely were the friend of both then you cannot possibly believe that his family or friends could have played a roll in this at all.Unfortunately the only person that had any ill feelings towards Matt was the mother of his children, the man who was willing to work hard everyday to not only raise his children but also raise and support her daughter from a previously relationship. You are right about one thing, justice for Matt will prevail!!!!

You sound like her friend and therefore blinded to her act, so you really should wait until you find out everything also. No matter how you think people "appear", no one has the right to kill anyone.
Just because she coaches a baseball team, it doesn't make her a good person.

So I saw today she's finally out of jail after 12 days so apparently she has a really good attorney and posted bond; she apparently was able to get the bond reduced and the Judge agreed to let her out. It will all come out during the trial and if she's smart she not give up and she will fight this all the way if not for anything at least for her children. Remember its only twelve people and a Judge who decide her fate and the prosecution will have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that she did this. Only time will tell but this could drag out for at least a year or more at least while she is out on bond she can spend time with her kids because God only knows what they are all going through right now. Regardless of how this all rides out the truth will come out and be told in the end. It's all about the truth, that's it. There's nothing more to be said. They will probably write a book or make a movie about it. If that's the case all the proceeds should go to their children.

Anonymous: You sound like a friend of hers, But perhaps not that close of a friend that you are willing to post your name in support of her. Don't worry not many people right now would admit to being her friend. But anyway,You said that if she's smart she would fight this. IF she was smart she would not have put herself onto this position. But she did! She will forever be seen as the person who killed a great man. Everywhere she goes people will talk, everywhere she applies for work, people will be hesitant to hire her.Would you risk losing business over her. If she tries to work for any place that serves people anything to eat or drink, there will always be the question, does this taste different to you. Neighbors will be looking at her differently now and rightfully so. Are any men out there willing to risk being with her now? If the ice doesn't freeze in your drink DO NOT DRINK IT.As far as fighting this, she has no choice the only thing she can hope for is that she can con those 12 strangers the way she does with others that only see her randomly. In the end there will be a much higher judge that already knows the truth. She is guilty of everything she is being charged with and then some. If she truly is smart she would admit to what she did and not put the children through all of this. Do her time, let those kids have a chance at a positive life. Odds are against them with her in the picture.

After watching everything on dateline, I still don't believe that she is guilty!!! I think that you people that don't know her or her relationship need to mind your business and let God be the judge of her. You were not there and you do not know what happened!!!!

I just saw this on date line and then look up the case. Really, people? Sometimes, grieving people just want a conviction and prosecutors simply want to give them one. They knew it was a weak case, and despite knowing this and their obligation to the integrity of the legal profession, they just decide to convict ANYONE in order to satisfy their own compulsions to win! MY GOD! SHE DID NOT DO THIS! Unbelievable small town lack of evidence antics in court. This isn't an episode of law and order! Hello! Motion to suppress that damaging terrible 403 and 404 evidence, defense attorney! What were you thinking at pre-trial? THERE WAS LITERALLY NO EVIDENCE AGAINST HER! Could have happened to anyone! THIS IS NOT JUSTICE! THIS DID NOT MEET THE BURDEN OF PROOF, STATE-JUDGE.... WHAT?! ARE YOU PEOPLE OK WITH THIS???!!! This is terrible! Makes me want to leave this profession! What has this system come to? PATHETIC! APPEAL! NOW! JUSTICE FOR HOLLY!

I think that she may not have poisoned him. They took this from a case which is featured on Unsolved Mysteries. A woman poisons her husband by putting the anti freeze in his tea. GOOGLE IT! I'm sure you all probably seen it or whichever. They should do better DNA and evidence. Here say doesn't really count. That ex boyfriend is total crap. He is an unstable mental person. Most likely seems like multiple personality disorder and sociopath.

How could there NOT be 'reasonable doubt' when the two 'experts' disagreed about the length of time the anti-freeze was present in his system and when the felon-witness had an obsession about her to the extent he had her name tattooed on himself after a one-night fling? Further, was it ever proven that she was allergic to grapes/wine? Why wasn't that investigated? If she is allergic, then the felon-witness lied when he claimed she'd consumed wine with him
What I found particularly disturbing were the expressions and reactions of the deceased's mother and brother when she was found guilty by the jury. Very disturbing to see them almost orgasming because of the guilty verdict
A previous poster has said the families of victims want revenge and want someone to be blamed, particularly in this case when the alternative would be that he committed suicide, which most families cannot accept because it means a rejection of themselves and casts a pall of guilt upon them too, at least in their own minds. So they want an external cause, want someone outside the family to be seen to be guilty. Is that sufficient justification to blame someone who may be innocent?
To my mind, based on the information I've seen, there was reasonable doubt created by the allergy to wine/grapes and the conflicting opinions of the two experts as regards the length of time the victim was exposed to the poison
