Almost makes you wonder how many other things he has gotten away with and what part dad had in all of it.
You got that right! I was wondering the same thing. This kid is a sociopath and they all start very young. I'll bet there are a slew of crimes on several continents behind him. Think about it; daddys always had the ways and means to get him out of any kind of "trouble" he's landed himself in.

Two young girls had to suffer at the hands of this horrible; rotten; spoiled murderer. I hope they really get him this time, and I pray that he finally admits to his crime against Natalie, giving her poor parents the closure they deserve.

My heart breaks for both Stephany and Natalee's families. May both girls be in eternal peace.

As for Joran.......I hope they do seek the death penelty, and I also agree with an earlier comment...should it come out that his 2 buddies assisted him....let justice come their way too! I truly wish Joran's daddy was here to see what a wonderful job he did raising his precious MONSTER!!!

This psycho killer has a sense of entitlement that doesn't quit. His daddy isn't here any more to protect him, and he is finally going to get what he deserves, one way or another. Either he will get life without parole in Peru or the death penalty there, or perhaps be killed in a Peruvian prison by other inmates. He is going to his just reward, either way.

These two girls families had to suffer and had their own daugther's life taken from them. this psyco doesnt understand how they must feel. he does not deserve to be locked up, i agree with Carolyn. that is WAY to good for him. he needs to be punished big time. and be put into his place.
i feel for both Natalee and Stephany's family! i cant imagine how that must feel, and i know you have to have a sense of relief knowing he is caught.and i do agree with someone above, that it does make me wonder what else that creep has got away with, but his daddy isnt here to get him out of anything now.

it's sad that he comes from such a peaceful country, Aruba. He has tarnished their image and that's a crime in itself.

If there is a hell, his father is going there for the cover up. Now another girl is dead. His parents raised him, they knew what he was, but they helped him go free.
I have no doubt that his father is already there ....... I think his father knew of the location of Natalees body, and could have provided the Holloway family with a proper burial for Natalee had he had the decency to do the right thing. But he slyly said, "No body, no crime". He's in hell, that's for sure, awaiting the arrival of his son someday.

If his two buddies in Aruba knew anything I hope he rates them out and they get some too.
My thoughts were if the two brother's knew something on him; they may be willing to talk now that he has been arrested. We'll have to wait this one out, I guess.

I hope they don't give him the death sentence - 30 years in a Peruvian jail will be like going to hell and back every day.

That goes to show you that if daddy or any family member is in the law force, more than likely you can get away with murder but since his daddy is dead he will pay now.

Let's be very careful about our relief. He's smart. He travels to corrupt countries where everyone can be paid-off. And I mean everyone. He enjoys himself playing the game of catch me if you can and hold me if you can. He has become a international celebrity/Playboy. In the crime world of the insane he is a Egomaniac that has advanced to the killing stage for fun. Insult him and you pay dearly. I hope the right people get to him.
Do you not think that the Complaint filed in the Northern District of Alabama yesterday will be the net that catches this psycho? I do!

I thought the same thing, briefly, but then realized that, indeed, Mr. van der Sloot has chosen very poorly his victim and venue this time. So long as Chile hands him over to Peru (which reports say is likely), he'll be in the hands of a police machine with ties to the victim's family. If the evidence is as Peruvian investigators say--rather strong and clear--I think his luck, skill and capital for evading justice has run out. ojal√°!!

Ive followed this case closely since the beginning. That Van der Sloot is guilty as sin of this poor Natalees death. Its great news to see he has been detained in Latin America. Justice will most likely be served swiftly.
More than anything that muderous bastard has the look of a killer. Deep sunken eyes and that strange conehead give him away at a glance years ago.
If he gets off this time send him to Mexico. HE wouldnt last long here.
