Full story: The Morning Call

Interesting story. I do remember that the lobster was put on the TGI Friday's building because it is a restaurant and it is on the site where Trainer's stood.

I believe that these lobsters are actually reproductions and were never on the Trainer's building. Does anyone remember that they diced up the original lobsters and gave the pieces away as souvenirs?

Anyone have one?

I hadn't heard about the this being a reproduction. I thought one was already at the historical society and the other was on the back of TGI Friday's. It's a shame they don't want it there any more...Trainer's had such good food!

Yes, I think I remember that both originals were in such bad shape when they were tearing down Trainer's that they were remade.

Haywood, if your going to post information, make sure it is REAL and accurate. You see yourself as a 'reporter' of sorts, but cmon' get your facts straight.

The lobsters are indeed original AND real. They were not remade. An article was writeen about this months ago. Stay accurate! No need to begin rumors or develope fictional nonesense. We have enough of that with 99.9% of the political BS and other postings on this website

I worked right across the street and never heard the reproduction story till today. My memory is this was a scam by the developer to placate the locals. They talked about preserving the lobster and incorporating in their design. Then they put it over the dumpster. Typical developer BS.

Settle down there RP... As you may read in my posts, I used words like "I think" and "I believe." If (or when) I find out I am wrong, I'll post that, too.

Perhaps they refurbished the originals instead of remaking them.

I'd like to see that article you referenced.

Well, I can find no evidence of my supposition anywhere.

Sorry for the uproar over the lobster. Everybody go about your business like it never happened.

We should ask Nancy Roberts. She has been a vital part of Quakertown history she could settle this tempest in a teapot (or lobster claw).

Yes she does have a lot of cats. It's funny you asked.
She has at least 15 of them. She has named them after
all the QCHS board members. Now that is crazy.
But... she still is my hero.

Yes as a matter of fact I have a rather large piece hanging in my home. I went down to a sign company down on the 309 near Lansdale thinking they would give me a tiny piece to put in my memory cabinet & they gave me a big enough piece to hang on the wall. It was wood but the newer ones look like a different material?
Ahh Trainers, good memories & yes good lobster!!!

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Taurus

Time is hurtling towards Christmas Day and it seems that you're in a panic about how you're going to get everything done in time. You may even have reached the stage where you've ground to a halt because you don't know what to do first. So take a deep breath, calm down and do things one at a time. Otherwise you'll end up feeling confused, tired and tearful.
