Has anyone heard about when this event is scheduled? In years past there's been some sort of get together in Qtown (it was the Moose 2 years ago) to promote the event and community involvement.

They will start to have team captain meetings in January. Usually the 1st Monday of the month. You can go to the ACS.org website and look for info on the Upper Bucks Relay for Life. There might be info about the first meeting on there. They use to send invites to team captains but I didn't get one last year or this year so far.

These events raise a lot of money for various causes, but yet it does not seem like there has been any major advances for a cure over the last 20 years. I do think it is wonderful that people care & help but wonder if all of this money really goes to the people who are suffering. Does it help pay the victims bills ? go towards helpers for them or for a day out to help them cope & de-stress ?

I believe that it generally pays for research and development, and ADMINISTRATION. Unfortunately, the ACS is a little top heavy in management. Anyone have some figures?

Daily Horoscope for January 1

Libra

Happy New Year, Libra!. How's that poor old body feeling this morning?! If you're having a gathering, include casual acquaintances or newcomers as if they were one of the family. You're a real social animal and you know how to put people at their ease. This is a wonderful talent: not only do you have a network of friends and social contacts, as well as business ones, but you have the ability to bring others together. Perhaps you should start a dating agency this year!
