I have heard some rumors about Harvest Community Fellowship and what is happening there with their leadership and Pastor last week. Anyone know anything that is factual? I don't want the sugar-coated church spin, What I want is the truth. Any knowledge of facts would be greatly appreciated.

Why don't you contact your pastor and ask him directly?

I heard that there is an investigation concerning the pastor. I don't know the details though.

There is a lot happening which should remain within the church walls and not put out for public display. All you need to know is the leadership and the members of Harvest nedd prayer and support!

Sure shove it under the carpet. That's how so many children were molested in the Catholic church.Get it out in the open if there is nothing to hide.

Pastor Geoff suffers from extreme Hubris (arrogant pride). His way or the highway.

Is this scandal going to bring him down to earth?

Oh please- I just don't feel it is anyone's business outside of Harvest since there are broken hearts, families and trusts involved. Just because the catholic church did it, does not mean every church under God's green earth is the same. Beleive me if a crime was commited, it will be reported.

I agree the Bible mentions in Proverbs 16:18 "Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall".

Geoff Steven's wanted full control with no accountability during his tenure at East Swamp Church. Whenever the Elder Board or members of the church disagreed with him on issues he would become very aggitated and angry. Eventually this resulted in Geoff resigning as Pastor of East Swamp and forming his own Church (Harvest Community). However, before resigning from East Swamp, Geoff had secretly recruited many members of East Swamp to help him start his own church. He did so in order that he would have full control with zero accountability. Or so he thought! In doing this he had divided East Swamp Church in half. Many people where hurt and many families were divided. Thankfully East Swamp has rebounded and is now growing and strong once again. However, with his newest actions at Harvest many people are once again hurt. I sure hope this man does not find another church to pastor as he has already done enough damage to God's family.
However, I will continue to pray for him in that he will experience God's forgiveness and that God will work in his heart.

Maybe I do not have the full story, but I don't know anything about a crime being commited but there was a scandalous affair.

I love how the religious folk pretend that they are better than the non-believers,and then when they F-up the others enable them by giving them so called forgiveness. They are weak people hiding behind cult figures who use a fake book as their manual.Move on people..

no one on here is claiming they are better than others, or offering forgiveness.

If you believe, great, if you don't, your choice.

Mary you don't need to feel inferior to them or any one. Only you make yourself inferior.

Oh dont worry I dont feel inferior, I just know several neighbors, born agains, catholics & jews who wont let their kids mix with non-believers because they feel they are the choosen people & have higher morals.

As far as we know, there has been no "crime". Instead of gossiping, if you truly desire to know the truth, pray! Or come visit us at our new location at the old St Isadore's and see for yourself a loving, forgiving, grace-filled, truthful church of God.

This is just so truly sad. The way that Geoff left East Swamp was innappropriate and unethical, but he has a strong personality and many trusted him whole-heartedly. Many believers that wanted to do something for God were misled and ended up following a man and not the Lord. The fall of a leader has got to be devestating for those people who severed family and church ties to follow his leadership. Not to mention his wife and children and brothers. I pray that some good can come out of this and that we all learn something.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Libra

It's Christmas Eve and you're running around like a scalded cat. However, it will do you no end of good if you can find a few moments here and there for some quiet contemplation. You might want to visit a place that's sacred to you, or take a walk in some beautiful surroundings so you can commune with nature. You need to feel that you're connecting with something bigger than yourself.
