I am a motorcycle enthusiast. My great goal in life is to be like Paul Teudle of American Chopper. I run a motorcycle repair shop out of my garage in Zion on Elizabeth Ave. I custom build old school choppers and sell them to biker wannabees. I fix anything that has a motor on it. So what if I keep my neighbors up all night revving engines and racing around the block. I don't care if there are ordinances against it. Those old people on Edina have another thing coming if they think I'll ever stop. The police in this town are little girlie queers and won't stop me. Leave me the hell alone or I'll make even more noise. Bikers unite.

That's righ douchebag! Ever damned day! He constantly uses the 22nd and 23rd blocks of Edina to test ride motorcycles. You're right, The cops don't care. There's no brownie points for a simple traffic violations or building code infraction. The Neighborhood Watch rep doesn't even care. She'e clear on the other side of town.

Simple enough to fix, everybody has some kind of video camera or cell phone video, tape him, take it to the police station ( good luck finding anyone who cares there) but.... if no one helps you then you can call lake county sheriff dept. ask for some immediate help. tell them you have a video of the dangerous situation you are experiencing and that you have exhausted all efforts of the zion police to get help. My last resort would be to go to the press and make it really public. Possibly put it on you tube and title it "zion cops ignore criminal activity" or something to that effect. Press / publicity get attention.

Yep, this guy has some good advise. The video camera, with a child near by will do the trick. He has to put someone in a dangerous situation. If I were him, i would be careful. Also, it sounds like a little anger in him. I have a friend in the Zion P.D. and another with Lake County District Attoureys Office.

I was recently made aware of this blog/post by a neighbor who lives across the alley from this clown. I thought I'd read some of the things in it and make a comment or two. I live down the street from him and was not aware, until now, of the problems the neighbors are having. I know wo this punk is. His name is Ryan Miller and he lives at 2115 Elizabeth Ave. He's actually funny to look at. About 5'2 with a long goatee down to his belly, completly tattooed from the waist up and drives a Yugo. That's right...a frigg'n Yugo. His wife/sister/mom is another winner. She's about 6 months pregnant and has been seen walking around with a beer bottle in one hand and a cigarette in the other. There's a lot of noise either from motorcycles or bickering coming from that house.

People are constanly coming and going but only from the alley. All sorts of rif raf drive up to his garage, he comes out, approaches the car a transaction of some sort takes place and the car drives off. This has been going on now for about two years.

He's a damned drug dealer people! This crappy town is full of them! The police aren't interested in people who disturb their neighbors with loud music or loud mufflers. A civil lawsuit isn't as expensive as you would think. Pool your resources and sue him. He might get criminally charged by a judge in a civil proceeding.

Maybe it's time for the citizens of Zion to stand up and demand better from our so called " city leaders".

when i have issues with idiots in my neighborhood I call the police, if they don't come I call them again and again and again.( have your neighbors call at the same rime) They will get tired of you calling and finally send someone out.
In the event they don't, call Lake county sherrif's department tell them zion pd refuses you help, they will call zion pd and get them moving. Last resort call the news, make it public.
I'd say try calling the chief of police, Booth or the mayor, Harison, but that won't get you anywhere, as neither of them appear to take calls from the general public at large, and good luck with the city council, they bow to the higher powers that be.

If I called the Zion PD and they refused to respond I would be calling the States Attorney's Office. They have a duty to respond and if they don't well maybe the Chief should be hit with a summons to appear in court and state why they didn't respond. I know for a fact writing to the mayor will get you nowhere, not even a response! That's what I got for writing about my concern. Nothing! Nada! Zilch! Calling the Sheriff's Office is a great idea, as they have a direct radio link with all the pd's and it is really embarrassing to have the Sheriff's office call and urge you to do your JOB. But you should never have to do this. That is why Harrison and his cronies must go at the next election. Get out and vote or nothing will change. They are elected to serve and serve they are NOT!

It appears I'm not the only highly taxed taxpayer in zion with issues regarding the police department and the city office. how do we fix this? I propose we open a website other than the buzz ( my opinion: they don't tell us the real story ) that brings a bit of sunshine to the real happenings and money being spent by our leaders.
Who really believes that Market Square & the new baseball field will be built without ANY TAX DOLLARS?

Shamburg has a good website, it includes all the info via the freedom of information act, it's very interesting as well, Although the city doesn't approve of it, I'm told.

I have, over the past several years, compiled a list of the names addresses and phone numbers of almost the entire Zion police department. I occasionally drive by the police station on the way to or from work and write down a few license plate numbers. I have a friend high-up in the Wisconsin DMV who runs the plate numbers and gives me the information. I have every intention of publishing them on every website I can. I think we need to shake up the police department. Too many tactical officers and detective aren't doing their jobs to benefit the good citizens of this town.

Am am also in favor of the referrendum restricting Section 8 housing that other towns are adopting. I believe section 8 housing has a direct relationship to high crime, high taxes and depressed shopping districts.

It appears our "leaders" are restless, they need more of our hard earned money to throw away. City council meeting tonight about the proposed property tax levies, city, school and township. all seem to be failures, check out the rating of the zion schools.... sheridan road ....ah, yes the beautiful NEWLY constructed township office .... ugh !! I wonder who's money their gonna spend after the working class leave town, driven out by HIGH TAXES with little to no representation.
