The costs of maintaining state parks might soon be shouldered directly by park-goers under a proposal from a suburban lawmaker.

Does this mean i won't have to pay for the parks with my tax money ?
I'm all for anything that will lower my tax bill.
I'm all for those who use a service pay for that service and for those of us not using the service to not have to pay for it.
But lets be honest that's NOT how life works.
If it was then schools would be in real trouble.
But the reality here is this is just another way to make people pay more money.
Parks were the one thing a large family on a tight budget could actually afford to visit as a family unit.

There is no amount of money that could possibly help the state of illinois. The mismanagement of funds will forever keep illinois as nothing more than an armpit. It blows me away how the state is completely inept at spending in a responsible way.I only have a 12th grade education, but I promise you I could do a better job of running this state than the morons that have been trying to do it for the past several years. All state run agencies consistently run in the red and are forever trying to get more money out of the citizens of this state. Come on people, stop acting like sheep.
