Lilly,
I read the comments on this website from time-to time. Bobby Ahern, the town "tramp" died of head injuries sustained in a fall last April. Several private citizens hired a retired special investigator to determine what actually happened. The circumstances are questionable. |

Do you have any other family members? Keep trying to find work, a second job and try to stay with another family member. The economy will get better. You just might find another girlfriend, she works, and you work, 2 jobs, and you should make it. The main thing is how you spend your money. together you must make wise choices on how you spend!!! Good luck. you can do it. |

Lily,
Bobby could usually be found hanging around Tony's Citco Station. He cleaned the bathroom and swept the driveways. He had a room above the Napa auto parts store where he could stay warm in cold weather and store his few belongings. He had many issues and demons but he always worked. He worked for several of the shop owners in town cleaning and doing stock work at nights. He mowed lawns and raked leaves for many people. He always stayed busy. He was far from a bum. Incidentally, he had a bank account at National City Bank in town with over $70,000 in it. This account is still in probate. He is survived by a brother and two sisters. They were at his funeral. It was sad. |

yes, i do know who he (Bobby) was, i remember him, I saw him daily, working here & there, he was so darn nice, always helpful, I remember when he passed, my thoughts were the same ... wondering what happened, i also donated to his funeral fund. whenever I saw him we always chatted about this and that, he always told me " be good out there". I had hoped that it wasn't something bad that caused his death. Rest In Peace Bobby. |
