from Episcopal News Service:

"Diocese of Spokane Bishop James E. Waggoner Jr. said the initiative 'has demonstrated in a profound way that when we are equipped to tell the story of our faith, develop strategies to reach specific goals, and use the structures and resources we have at hand, we are able to be instruments of life-giving transformation. We have witnessed firsthand what can happen when we actively live out who we are called to be and what we are called to do in the spirit of Jesus.'"

Somehow I don't think St. Paul would word "charity" in such technical terms.

Are you telling us that the money shouldn't be used to feed people because the Bishop used contemporary English to explain the 'gift'?

What a strange faith you have in the Church of Rome. Would the message be better of it was written in Latin in the form of a Papal Encyclical? Would the 'money' be better spend if the comment had been in Latin or New Testament Greek?
