i have a husband that ahas been charged with first offense tresspassing charge that is 7 years old and is serving 270 days in ebrp prison. stating in la law its up to $500 fine or 30 days in prison. this has cost my husband a job he has had for 6 years with helth benefits, 40lk, and others. he's not just a punk on the street but an adult that pays chld support for three childresn and supports his diabled wife and stepdaughter, this hoarse charge that judge lonnie miles has given him has not only vilated statutes of resonable fines but it causing his family to be homeless. I just see not justice in a time of economic crisis that we are living in that a judge sees justice being served in this matter, why not sentence the man a fine, and let him continue to keep his employement instead of sending him and his family into a state of poverty. He hasn't gotten in any trouble since this matter and wish i can get some help. he has since served his 8 wk with with 230 days left. any suggestions would be appreciated.
