Justice was instantly served. No sympathies for either one of the robbers. If more individuals took the same response as Mr. Lovell crime would decrease dramtically.

Good for Mr. Lovell!
Residents in the State of Florida should also learn our concealed weapons law and our right to defend ourselves against deadly force---laws not just for the tourists to learn. Do you hear us all you thugs and theives and robbers and misunderstood punks trying to get your lives together?
I'm glad you're safe and not being charged, Mr. Lovell. My hats off to the DA's office for not charging you!

Nice Shooting Marine! No innocent civilians hurt!. As for OGG political correctness is what is ruining this country. Blacks hate Whites the Most. Just foolow your Jesse and Al around the country and see who they go after. Why don't Jesse and Al take some responsibily and help their own communities instead of Tryinf to Sqeeze money fromm us Crackers! You know where I am going here so I'll stop and let you run with it

Gadson's grandmother doesn't bring up the fact that her grandson would not have been shot at all if he hadn't been committing armed robbery and Arrindell was improving his life-so with no "legal trouble" (according to the article, maybe he just was never caught before).....where is the accountability of the individuals who are committing the crime that caused the incident in the first place.

Can somebody please clone Lovell and ship a whole freight-load of him to California asap? It warms my heart to know there are still folks out there that know right from wrong and won't hesitate to take action. Thank you Lovell.

No Mrs Jones, it was your grandson that was committing the crime, and if you look at it for waht it was, God DID serve justice. Your grandson died for doing something really stupid. If you are really a God fearing woman, and pastors wife, you would completely understand how that brave marine did what had to be done to protect his own life. Your grandson was in the wrong, and he paid the ultimate price for his mistake. You want to be a bleeding heart for someone that was in the middle of commtting a crime? Where were you when he needed the guidance to be the "good person" you were fooled into believing he was? I have no sympathy for you or your grandson. I'm sorry for your loss, but Mr. Lovell was protecting his own life against a cowardly and criminal act from a young man that made a bad decision. You get to live with your grandsons error.

My heart goes out to the family of the men that were shot. But it didn't have to happen- they had a choice and they made the wrong one. Put aside all the BS about troubled pasts, etc, those are just excuses to try to justify that behavior. We've all had troubles in our past but we've not all turned to crime to solve our problems. As a CCW permit holder I pray that I never get put in the situation that Mr. Lovell was put in and I also pray that if I am put in that situation that I could react like he did. those of us who work for what we have do not like the fact that others are lazy and want to try to steal it from us. Maybe if enough of us start to react like Mr. Lovell did others will think twice about committing crimes.

I am trying to read the story but i cant bring it up. I hope that this marine did the right thing. I also hope that the police are not offended by someone actually doing the job they are being paid to do and doing it better. If not we will find this man standing trial for murder, and attempted murder. As far as i am concerned if these were robbing him he should not have left one alive if it was an armed robbery because this leaves him open for being sued by the family of the robbers or even the robber himself.

Like Tom Clancy said. "If you want to kick a tiger in the ass, you'd better have a plan for dealing with his teeth." I feel for these young men's family, but you never know who you may run into if you break the law. This should give others a second thought before they try to harm others in there laziness to make "easy money".
Whether you misspell their or not, it's still the same message; I agree with Mr. Henderson totally. And the boys took the law into their own hands first of all, so their families have it wrong. Hopefully, others in their family won't end up the same way, just to avenge their kin.

To OGG:

You really need to read the full interview the Marine gave the American Handgunner in it's July/August 09 issue. According to the Subway video archives, and the store manager, it went down exactly like the Marine described. He and the store manager were innocent victims, and he,(the Marine) simply acted in a trained and controlled manner to save their lives. Ask yourself, what would you do if confronted by two robbers, with guns, and herded off to the bathroom and told to lay prone on the floor. They would have likely been shot execution style. How on earth can you call this a racial issue. The limitations of your rational thought capabilities are obviously showing. Are you actually intimating that if those perps had been white, and behaved in the same manner, the Marine would NOT have shot them. Get a clue... I ask now, who's the racist?

You obviously are a coward yourself. To blame a 70 y/o man of being a racist when he fought for his country and you so you could live here and speak your RACIST crap. I wish Illinois would allow concealed weapons so I could come over to Darien and put two bullets in your shit filled head.

I agree 100%. We need more people like this in society to make the criminals think twice before doing their evil deeds.

Daily Horoscope for January 8

Taurus

Although the influences around now tend to give you endurance and stamina, you do have to watch that you're not straining your body too much, or trying to force yourself to do things that you don't want to do. Too much willpower can sometimes make you push yourself past your limits. You may be overspending to compensate, because you feel that you deserve a little reward for all your hard work. However, you'll have to pay the piper sooner or later!
