You must not watch TV because it was on all the channels. It was also in the newspaper (Jax inclued). Can't believe a former wrestler is making comments like it has never happened before. Hazing is going on in all the schools in our area and in all sports. Welcome to the real world.

You would think that ActionNewsJax (Fox 30/CBS 47)( www.actionnewsjax.com ), MyNassauSun ( http://jacksonville.com/community/nassau ), and The Florida Times-Union ( www.jacksonville.com ) would have covered this but I don't think they did.

Well these days it's getting out of hand so they need to put a stop to it. Someone was killed recently at a Florida college allegedly from hazing.

I kept looking on www.ActionNewsJax.com and www.jacksonville.com and searched for the Fernandina incident on those and could find no stories on those sites about it.

Actually I don't watch a lot of TV but I thought they'd have something about it on their websites.

Here's the latest on the hazing from the News-Leader:

Are you blonde? Just wondering because obviously my statement went right over your head! I was NOT comparing Paintball to beatings. The article stated the bruises were in place several days later. I said I had them longer from paintball. The length of time he had the bruises can not necessarily be used to determine the severity of the "beating", unless I guess if you are David Caruso!(CSI Miami for you "An Observer") Again, it may have been this student's mother "freaking out"!(over-reacting)
All I have to say to your idiot response to this story is...."Allegations have been found to be true." Next time think before you spew forth with parents "over reacting" and the severity of the bruises they discovered on their son.
I am glad punishment has been given although the coaches have yet to diciplined, I hope this coach is never involved with student sports again. He knew this was going on yet did NOTHING to stop it. Shame on you Coach!!!!!

Some people probably don't think the hazing is as severe as it can be but it can get out of hand and cause injury or death.

Once again you COMPLETELY missed my point/stance on this subject! WOW! I will try to explain it better later today when my 2 year old grand daughter is awake and can translate for you.
By the way, usually "All I have to say" is not followed by a paragraph!

Its amazing that the wrestler/victim was part of hazing himself, and after he was paddeled went to three days of wrestling practice without a word or complaint about any incident.

Well parents have that right. Just like when someone has sex with someone underage and they are okay with it and consented doesn't mean the parents can't press charges. Parents can always press charges when it involves a minor for anything that can be construed as a crime against them.
