Gay or straight, YHS club meets

The old adage that any publicity is good publicity proved true for Yulee High School students Hannah Page and Jacob Brock - founders of the controversial YHS branch of the Gay-Straight Alliance.

Congrats to you all, Hannah Page and Jason Brock, and the ACLU. Thank you for standing up for what you believe in and not giving up. I know the case is still going on but it looks good for you all. At least no matter what happens you and your friends will be able to spend the majority of the remainder of your high school years attending the club since the case will most likely drag out for a few years.

It is refreshing to note that in these tough economic times that the Nassau county school board is so flush with money that they can easily afford to use hundreds of thousands of tax payer dollars to fund a court fight that they have already been told by the judge that they will loose! </sarcasm>

Perhaps by the time that this gets to court, the board will see what the GSA is really all about and that it is actually helpful....NAH! Bigotry knows no price!
