What I Found on the Broad Way as Compared to the Narrow Way

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen:
I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is my sincere prayer that you are being Blessed as you read this post.
I am writing an article with the aforementioned subject. I will begin by laying my foundation with God’s Word found in Matthew chapter 7 verses 13 and 14 which states,“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”
We all no that we are sinners saved by the Grace of God and as we begin to travel in life, we begin in the broad way. There we find hopelessness, hypocrisy, fornication, filthy lucre, hatred, envy, murder, debate just to name a few works of Satan that we encounter in the broad way.
Speaking from God’s Word,“No man cometh unto me unless he be drawn.” During my tenure in the broad way, I had my encounter with alcoholism, promiscuous sexual activity and found myself out of the will that God had for my life. I encountered loneliness even though God said,“I will never leave you or forsake you.” I was not prosperous because I was in the grasp of Satan and he comes to kill, steal and to destroy. Jesus came that I might have life and have it more abundantly. I came down with illnesses where God said, "I wish that you be in health and prosper even as your soul prospers.” There was no prosperity in the broad way. I was a liar and a the truth was not in me because I had not receive the truth. Jesus said,“I am the truth and the light.” There was no light in my life. I was headed down the path of destruction. But one day I met Jesus and confessed him as Lord and became a new creature and my sins was washed away in his blood. Hallelujah!
Once I entered into the narrow way, something happened. I began to notice that my mind was changing and that I began to put away the fleshly thoughts and deeds. I did not realize that the Holy Ghost was making its abode in me. I began to speak with a new tongue. I began to allow God to lead me (Psalms 37:23). Where I was sad, joy entered into my heart. I thought I had knowledge before, but I began to realize that the knowledge of the Lord covers the earth and the water covers the seas. Where I was a liar, God bridled by tongue and began to speak truth. Where I had placed alcohol in my body, I began to realize that I was the Temple of God and I also began to realize that there was a price to pay for defiling God’s Temple,“Know ye not that ye are the Temple of God, and he that defileth that Temple, him God will destroy.”
Where I was lonely, I realized that I have a host encamped around me. Where I sought sex without the covenant of marriage, I began to seek in the Word of God concerning marriage and found,“for this cause shall a man leave his father and mother’s house, and cleave to his wife and they being twain shall become one.” Note, I did not say, lover or girlfriend, etc.
You may read this post and say, Wow! How can he be a Prophet of God or even be in the Body of Christ? But if you know anything about Jesus, you know that He came not to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.
I repented. Not just with my mouth but with my heart and God tries the reins of a man’s heart.
Just a few paragraphs that constitutes a testimony that states, I found God in the narrow way and left Satan in the broad way.
Yours in Jesus Christ.
Bishop William B. Caractor
