Be prepared to hear a lot of laughter in the halls.
Please go to the Corporation Commission.

And please keep this forum alive.
I'd lost hope that anyone would keep complaining.

You're our only hope Obi- Wan Kenobi

I really sorry my comments have hurt you. Don't take them
personally, I insult everyone who is stupid and foul.
I don't worship the constitution. If your pastor wears
a flag, I understand how you're insulted by that. Sit back
and enjoy another Okie 3.2.
The problem with smart meters for you isn't property rights,
security and blah blah blah. It's you're being told what's
good for you. It's tough living with others and having to
conform in your case.
Don't feel bad or sulk in silence. Keep us amused.
You are both right...You are taking the SATELLITE in space view while he/she is DRILLING down to the specific issues currently on her/his alert list.

But it shouldn't be "tough living with others" as long as their sole intention is not to extort your very existence. If there were truth in evolution, it would be the amoebas, viruses, and fungi that have become fully human but still fully functioning parasites.

After all this time and you're still wearing tin hats.

Keep the shiny side of the tin foil on the inside.

I have a rental property in Norman with one of these meters. The damn thing just caught fire. OGE's policy is to only provide the unit. Any repairs/maintenance are the owners responsibility. So the bottom line is that there unit caught fire internally, almost burned my house down and then I had to pay over $800 for an electrician to remove and do a proper reinstall. Not happy about this in the least. Anyone else had to deal with this?

First off, you are not the first person that this has happened to. There are several documented cases where the SMART meters have caught fire and caused serious damage.

Best bet is to work with an attorney that is familiar with this sort of thing. In short, the terms of use that you "agree" to don't resolve the manufacturer or the utility from damages or tort for faulty equipment or faulty installation. Since you did not do the install, nor did you provide the equipment, then it would be difficult for the utility to argue that you are somehow responsible for losses that you incurred as a result of the equipment failure or an installation failure.

I hope that you retained the equipment, or at a minimum took pictures.

I have the contact info for the attorney that handles this somewhere. I will ask permission to post it on this forum.

Now that's what I call the Wizard of OZ complex.

Please turn off my smart meter.

Stay on your farm don't bet it. Dirt farming is all you're capable
of patenting.

No one fears your challenges. They're all fiction.

Thanks for the laughs.
