In areas where the municipality provides electricity, such as Edmond, SMART meters are soundly defeated.

This is nothing more than corporate greed playing politics to increase earnings at the expense of the health, privacy and security of citizens.
No one else online agrees with your profound statement
concerning Edmond Electric. Even if Edmond refuses, so
what. Oklahoma held on to Prohibition until 1959.

Corporate greed is what is called capitalism.
It's the American Way. Ask a Republican.

You said that you can't prove a negative. The point is that when citizens have a choice, they reject SMART meters.

No one cares about you paranoia.
There was a meeting in Austin March 4th '13
where all the legislators were invited to hear
a panel of citizen experts.

The meeting of " Smart Meter Briefing "
drew 4 legislators and 10 concerned citizens
( 5 of them were on the expert panel ).

4 lonely legislators and 10 nuts hardly matter.

You know they put vitamins in your bread don't you.
Now there's a cause you can bite into.

The cellular damage that you have received from overexposure from RF (and perhaps chemicals of various natures) apparently make it impossible for you to hold a consistent line of logic.

You said that the legislators were invited. Unless you live under a rock, you should have figured out that government is reactionary. Legislators only react to an issue if it is a photo op for them.

Meetings that are open to the public and where legislators are required to weigh in definitely get attention.

That is the way that the SMART meter industry works. Secret meetings where deals are made between bureaucrats and industry and the citizens are not allowed to attend.

But the joke will be on the utilities when a vote referendum requires them to "uninstall" the SMART meters or modify the configuration.

Want to know about something that no one cares about? Its the SMART HOURS program. That is just a photo op that no one cares about.

i wouldn't worry, Utility rates at OG&E are 25% below the national average, i have mutual funds in Utilities and ask my broker why i don't have stock in OG&E and he told me, i have stock in Utilities that are 25% above the national average

Good move, Jay. I don't have OG&E in my portfolio either. I don't care for their business structure and they are far too heavy-handed for my taste and hence are creating a lot of enemies.

Companies that create those kind of adversarial relationships with their customers tend to take it in the shorts eventually. It may take a while but the day will come when there is enough backlash that it will cost them dearly.

I have very little faith in the long-term viability of the business structure. Far too reliant on the government teet - and too little investment in new plants.

Oklahoma is one of the "growth states" and OG&E has spent its resources on SMART meters that don't save energy rather than developing new sources.

You can't see any truth whatsoever. The Austin meeting
was open to the public and no one came. 4 legislators,
6 citizens, and 4 panelists showed. It wasn't secret.
Not everything in life you dislike is a conspiracy.

There will be no referendum ever. Modify your meds

Besides being nearly illiterate, you're stupid.
What does your used car salesman say about your car ?
Your broker lies, OG&E isn't 25% better than the
national average in anything. It sells power to Okies
how hard can that be ?

Ever is a long time.

But at the rate you are going, your brain will continue to deteriorate and you won't be coherent enough to notice when it does.

And unlike you, I don't "self-medicate" with the "happy plant" and am coherent enough to see what is going on.

I'll take redneck over arrogant ass any day.

And you are making incredibly foolish assumptions about income, social status, etc.

You seem to imply that OK is some sort of third world nation, and that no one of education or means lives in OK. Not everyone of means chooses to live an arrogant and ostentatious lifestyle surrounded by other equally arrogant and ostentatious neighbors.

Your small little world behind high walls and gated entries is just that. SMALL.

Made for SMALL people like you.

It's really amazing that so many top scientists have put their reputation, jobs and funding on the line to publically speak out against "smart" meters...saying there is a very good chance "smart" meters will harm our health. And who do the American people listen to? A lot of us seem to believe the people who stand to make billions of dollars from smart meters. Evidently they think the utility companies, GE and AT&T all know more about molecular biology than molecular biologists. The people evidently think the FCC's safety test .. to see if it heats tissue... is good enough for the safety of us and our children and the future of America. If the scientists are right about "smart" meter emission being a carcinogen...then they cause mutations...and mutations are inherited...in the generations to come..Mutations are almost always very bad. Evidently the American people think believing and trusting those who will make money from "smart" meters. And even so crazy as to say it's okay to FORCE people to buy "smart “meters and be expose to a class 2b carcinogen 24/7. Kind of like saying, well if you're stupid enough to hold a cell phone to your head ...then we can force you to do anything we want and you have no say in it.

Since the state ranks at or near the bottom of every
ranking, I'd say that's a fair assumption. Those are
just facts.

By association, you're ignorant and redneck.

Lol you are really getting petty now when you start criticizing screen names... And yours is better? Mr. "I have to capitalize every word and can't add spaces?

And obviously my screen name went over your head...

SMART as in SMART METERS. And yes, I have multiple degrees in engineering, a sizable patent portfolio and specialize in running tech companies. So unlike some, I can actually read and understand a meter specification, the mesh specification and understand a great deal about the security issues of data centers, and even distributed code updates.

So if you are aggrieved by my screen name, that is your problem.

Some, like you, have to depend upon your fancy neighborhood and gated community to make you feel important. And you get great satisfaction from exerting ill-gained control upon others and endangering their lives and well-being.

Not my style.

Okay, so you can read a meter
That don't impress me much
Okay, so what do you think you're Elvis or something..

ThomasA, you must not have been watching the news. Over the last 10 years, the US natural gas industry has been exploding, and domestic oil production has also increased in spite of Obama's best intent of shutting down as much as possible.

And - let me say it once again for those that have memory problems - SMART meters do not save energy. Anyone that believes that they do is poorly informed or just plain stupid.

WarForOil - your stupidity continues to amaze. I didn't say I could read a meter, I said I could read a meter SPECIFICATION. If you don't know the difference you should refrain from posting and embarrassing yourself further.

And I wouldn't want to live in your tiny little neighborhood. The cramped spaces would give me claustrophobia and my fleet wouldn't fit anyway.
