Take your service pistol and shoot yourself in the head. You are a perfect example of everything wrong with this country. You should have better things to do as a police officer. Kill yourself. now.

Hey come on. He doesn't deserve to die. It WAS rather anal to do that, however. I think we as a country are in desperate need of some common sense in matters like this. I'm sure the judge will throw it out. Why isn't the officers name given? His name NEEDS to be given to hopefully shame him back into line. I don't think firing him would be too harsh either.

Wow, really? That's an excellent solution to the problem at hand, but sadly enough that kind of response is exactly what I'd expect from this forum.

Your response is exactly the type of comment I would expect from some idiot defending an idiot for a police officer!

Piedmont sucks as much as Prague Ok, another example of Okie Brilliance at it's best for the whole country to shake their heads over.

Does anyone in Oklahoma have any common sense any more?

Ahh you made me laugh out loud at the last comment. So tell me with all of your infinite wisdom, is it ok for this same 3 yr old or his siblings to urinate on your property? On your vehicles? Or his teenage siblings to drink beer and throw the bottles in your yard? Please, tell me as I'm so very interested in your response. Or better yet what would you do? Would you talk to the kids? And if that didn't work would you contact the parents? And if the parents wouldn't do anything about them? What are your options next ? But it's ok, I hear that "Okie Brilliance" has won out in this state, the charges were dropped and everyone is once again free to urinate on the side of public streets in full view of public and in front of my children as well as my neighbors. I can say one thing though, I got a great laugh listening to my little girl when she asked me, "daddy, why is that little boy peeing in the front yard in front of his house, can I do that?" So I said, with a smile, " honey, we don't do that, we have indoor plumbing and have some sense of morals."

Such a fine specimen with a profound grasp of the English language. What fine community or state might you be representing with your infinite wisdom?

It's obvious the cop has deeper issues, most likely linked to latent - if not already active - pedophilia tendencies. A close watch on this cop is needed. He is capable of much worse than mere dumbassery.

Couldn't have said it better! Whoever the chief of police is in this very embarrassing situation must do something about this incident, or he needs to be sent packing by city leaders. Get rid of the badge toting cops who think they are better than God and find some who have compassion for the public! A cop has the power to arrest, but should take people down with dignity. Has dignity and respect gone out the window in Piedmont and other parts of this country? How will this guy react in a real serious situation?

Now you people are just being silly, this forum or whipping post as it seems has and always will be out of control. While I didn't say I agreed with the officer I'm not naive enough to say that there's not more to the story than the way it was initially put out. The fact of the matter is that these officers have to make a split second decision on the fly, some good, some bad. We have the opportunity to sit back and look at all the facts hours, or sometimes days after the event takes place and decide what WE would have done. Let me ask this, if this officer, while in uniform was with his son in his own front yard, standing next to his public street in his "rural" neighborhood allowed his son to urinate in perfect view of others would that be acceptable? Just a thought.

FYI PEEHEAD,, I am a fellow Okie who has worked extensively through-out the U. S.

In case you didn't know, Oklahoma is looked as a backward state around the country. Lots of Americans know very little about this state.

Thanks to this idiot cop ticketing the little boy and making the national news, people throughout America now know one more thing about Oklahoma that reinforces their views of Oklahoma and it's inhabitants.

You and the cop fit the stereotype people have about Okies. My congrats to you and the slow-witted cop.(If this incident is indicative of his judgement, Piedmont might need to review it's liability insurance coverage and if you think I am kidding, I am not!)

FYI Jimbo, I would think that if you have traveled extensively enough around the U.S. you will notice that the same can be said about every city in every state. There is ALWAYS something to be said from the people traveling through to the local residents, people are never satisfied with the surroundings and demand change. While I may not have traveled extensively as you ( I have only seen about 15 of these states and 3 countries ) I'm pretty sure everyone has the same problems, NOT just Oklahomans. The difference between you and I is the fact that I'm not stuck on tearing people down to make myself feel better, say what you want, do what you want. I like it here and even though its not perfect I can deal with it and find a way to make things better rather than hide behind a screen name ranting and raving about "I woulda, I coulda." Fact is if you can do it, then DO it.

Say what you want, I'm not going to lower myself to name calling. All I'm saying is, it's a sad day and time when leading a child AWAY from your house (with indoor plumbing I assume) up to the edge of a public street, pulling his pants down exposing his buttocks and allowing him to urinate or "attempt to urinate" is acceptable.

Gee, I don't know about Okie brilliance being all that bad. The rest of the country is in a recession, and getting worse. Oklahoma, which happens to be the reddest of the red, is enjoying a robust economy, with an unemployment rate being NEGATIVE, which means a good portion of the populations has more then one job. I see prosperity all over the state.

Actually, I think it's a sad day in this country when a THREE YEAR OLD who does those things is taken so darn seriously by the so called adults. So what if he showed his wee wee and buttocks? Big deal. I don't know of a single little boy who, while he was very young and in the midst of training, did not attempt such a thing simply out of extreme immaturity. The ADULT thing to do would be to snicker a bit, knock on the door to inform mom, and while she runs out there to pull up her boys britches, advise her to try and be more careful next time since there is an ordinance against public peeing. Or he could have been JUST as much an adult about it by simply smirking and then looking the other way.

It was some teenager who led the child to the edge of the street, and not some adult who should have known better. If mom was in the house busy with something else, then WHY is she ticketed for somehow failing to use her psychic senses?(sarcasm) That's what we expect from moms nowadays; having some sort of psychic, extra sensory powers. Things like this can happen so fast, and before you even know it. The teenager was probably purposely trying to antagonize this cop. Okay, fine, maybe the teens a surly brat, but the cop was being anal about it, period.

The cop was fired just a few days ago because he had around 300 complaints. The chief said anytime a cop has that many complaints, then they just don't need him around. I'm backing the police chief and everyone else. Anytime someone pisses off so many people, even if he is legally right, he is still wrong.

Print his name.

That's just it though, from what I read they knew the officer was there, they had been watching him and documenting and taking pictures of his presence. If that's true then why lead the boy away from the house to pee next to the street be it by an adult or teenager? I get the fact that the boy is 3 and these things happen, on their own or in a back yard or attempting to go behind a tree, I get that.
I hadn't heard that the officer had been fired though, or the numerous complaints against him and although there may have been other means of dealing with the incident I'm not sure termination was in order.

You stated this officer had around 300 complaints? What explanation would a department have in keeping an officer on the force after even 3 valid complaints. I am wanting to know where or from whom did you hear the officer was fired?

You know that, I know that, but people on either coast know very little about Oklahoma unless they are from here or have relatives working here - we are a 'flyover' state. Things that hit the news that make Oklahoma and Okies look stupid and OU football is all millions of people know or even care to know about Oklahoma.

Yeah, yeah and I think it is a sad day when a town employs a dumbass that would actually issue a ticket to a small child for what happened in this situation!

Is the officer a moron, does he think he is hot stuff, is he on a power trip? I'm telling you folks, if this action is indicative of the officers' reasoning ability, Piedmont will at some point have something much more serious on its' hands to deal with - something that could affect EVERY property owner in town!
