Yeah, it was one of the kids. The tobacco company does it's job recruiting new smokers to replace the ones who have died of lung cancer.

They probably left a window open when someone had a barbeque outside.

If you are a non-smoker and get a room that has been smoked in, you will know it the first time you go in. Right then call the front office, get the name of the person you are talking with and have them send someone to that room right away! In other words, cover your butt. 0\>:-)

There is a good reason I hate lifestyle smokers (not all smokers, mind you, but those who believe it's their god-given right to light up whenever and wherever they feel like it). When I book a non-smoking room at a hotel, it's always 50/50 gamble. Why? Because surprise-surprise: smokers themselves do not enjoy stale smoke smell. So, they too book non-smoking rooms and guess what they do first thing they get in the room. This is the main reason why most hotels disclaim in fine print they do not guarantee you'll be actually getting a non-smoking room even though they do let you book it. That and the fact most hotels are just too damn lazy to seriously enforce their non-smoking policies.
