Out of gas motorist shot at by homeowner with BB gun

A 49-year-old man who ran out of gas on a Redlands road Sunday came under fire from a resident armed with a BB gun, police said.

I've lived in this town for 32 years and it's not surprising to me that his poor guy was assaulted where he was. That's how insane people have gotten. There are places that used to be safe and now are not. In fact, one never knows anymore (a holdup at 3:30 p.m. at the Krikorian theatre parking lot, holdups in the middle of the day at any parking lot, assault on an off duty officer, having dinner with his family, by a bum at the Citrus Plaza, teenagers robbing Kmart and then beating the security guard, etc.). Be careful out there!
