Can a woman's body really keep from getting pregnant when it's raped? Is there a difference between legitimate and illegitimate rape? Is rape permissible under certain circumstances? Guess what the GOP expects you to believe, ladies.

I have always heard that the body is traumatized and will go into what is considered a "shut down" mode making hard to get pregnant after a rape. On top of the fact that there are very few days a month that you can get pregnant. If all those statements are wrong it still doesn't change the fact that pro-choice argue that abortion should be legal for cases like rape when in actuality only .5%(Yes that's point 5) abortions are done because of rape.

Ask a woman if that's true. Or a (medical) doctor.

You didn't finish my quote stating "even if that is wrong" or the beginning where I said "I had heard". Nor the part where I said it was a fact. Oh wait. That's because I didn't.

Ask a doctor what the medical procedure is after a woman is raped or is SUBJECTED TO INCEST, which is more common. There's a technical name for it that I can't spell but you wouldn't understand it or claim it was a lie anyway.

So this procedure is totally different from abortion? Is it osmosis where the "fetus" just passes through the skin and into the biohazard container?

As it was explained to me (by a female OB/GYN), it's technically the same, although depending on your religious views concerning the moment of conception and abortion.

Just as man slaughter and first degree murder are technically the same. Depends on if it were an accident or planned.

I guess you're right. Of course since no woman plans on getting raped I assume you're referring to the procedure. I have no idea how that's handled by the doctor or victim.

I am referring to the procedure as I'm sure no one plans on getting murdered.

I can tell you from experience, I was raped yes raped and I did end up pregnant. So no my body did not stop the pregnancy. I had an abortion, and all my life I have had to deal with it. The mental part of it is terrible. It takes a long time to get over. And you never forget.
so sorry

How did this question turn into a debate (yes, debate not discussion) about abortion. Only an IDIOT would believe that somehow a woman's body "shuts down" and "can't get pregnant" in the event of a rape. No wait, only a MALE IDIOT would believe such a thing. It's believed by the same group of men who call a woman they have just had sex with a wh**e while refusing to look at the man in the mirror and call that man a wh**e hopper!!!

You must watch a lot of the Fox News Channel. They do the same thing you do. Stating something in a manner to make people think its a fact, while not exactly saying its a fact. Leaving them just enough room to say its not, just in case someone calls them on the lie.

Why don't we just move the seed planted in that poor woman in a terrible and life changing manner to your belly. When it turns inside of you it won't bring back the horror of what happened time and time again, like it would for her.
If its a baby a couple of hours or days after the rape and can't be aborted, is it abortion to wear a condom during sex in your eyes?

Again, your name is correct. You really are a SLOW BOY. If a woman gets pregnant out of wedlock EVERYONE judges her each time her belly shows. She relives the moment everytime she looks at herself, feels the baby move, has trouble getting around, or sees the look in the eyes of her friends and/or family. The rest of her life - and the rest of the life of the baby - she will be reminded in words and deeds of how she "got" that "little ba5ard." The man that raped her may or may not be caught and may or may not be tried but you can bet your assets, if he is tried, even though they are not suppose to introduce her character they will. If they don't introduce it in court they will introduce it in the media or in conversation. Where was she? What was she wearing? What kind of woman was/is she? What was she doing there? What time of the day/night was it? How could he have raped her if she struggled? Then if she can't get support from the man who raped her she will struggle to support the child (maybe even welfare). Then you will ask why she doesn't support her own child. If she does manage to get "support" from the man who raped her then that ba5tard will have RIGHTS JUST LIKE A REAL FATHER. So until your sex changes and you give live birth to a product of rape don't you DARE try to tell ME WHAT TO DO WITH THE INJURY I SUSTAINED AS A RESULT OF RAPE!!!

I was sorry to hear your sad story. Rapists are the most evil, wicked sadistic scum in the universe. I hope you find peace and solice in this cruel, evil world. You did not deserve that. I hope that guy is in jail for a long time and is beaten and raped for all the time he is in there. I hope one day I get the opportunity to kill a rapist. I once stopped a guy for trying to rape a woman I was gentle on him, only pushed him. If any guy did this to a future wife or child of mine I wouldn't call the cops I would kill him stone dead. Hope the rest of your life is filled with better times and brighter days.
