You must have been around here for a long time, great job!! You should sign your name, the web site is really funny.

Do a chapter on the the ageless country music "stars" that come year after year after year, etc.

Or on BVR and DNR, the huge cost overruns due to the expensive wine, her boyfriend & the costly doors, etc.. That even made the Atlanta news.

Interesting story. I think a new and different twist to the fictional new-comers in this fictional town would be a great idea.
Perhaps, since everything seems to be so horrible for the newbies in this fictional place thus far, the writer should just turn it into a real adventure.
The newbies, especially those who throw off on the fictional town and its fictional people, should develop some major, fast-growning cancer but just not be able to die too quickly. A slow agonizing death in that horrible little place while all the townspeople are standing around laughing at their fate would be a perfect ending to their dreadful experience.

I'm no novelist but it sure does seem have potential...

Keep up the fictional work!!

Yeah, reminds me of the movie starlet who said " I hate it when people say things about me, especially when what they are saying is true".

Looks like you are already doing this; in a vicarious, "fictional" way of course.

Now you will all be sorry! I got me a website and I'm gonna tell my true story the way I want it to be! You're all gonna wish you had done what I said now!

If you don't fire and arrest the whole school, elect a crooked sheriff, give my wife back, make the coach let me beat him up and pretend he can't hurt me, make the commissioner be my friend, stop spitting your tobacco juice, let my kid play, and pretend to like me, I'm gonna write another chapter! I mean it! It won't be a nice chapter either! I'm pretty sure I can tell any lie I want to cause I got my page by proxy! They wouldn't tell on me. Would they?....

This is a professional hit. There is considerable time and effort behind this. The timing is not an accident. I have to admit it is funny and I will read on. There was a political hit on a town out West several years ago that I believe this is modeled after. The information is not all current therefore the writer or I believe, writers have been around awhile. Find someone with writing background, local political knowledge and a huge Axe to grind and you have the poison pen.
This is going to hurt more than a few politicians. When you open a County's closet like this it can literally rip it apart. Enough truth to cause problems for everything from property value to tourism issues. Enough Humor to make it addictive. If an Atlanta station picks up on this, we will be the laughing stock of the South.
This is a problem that is going to feed upon itself. It is making the rounds through the Student Facebook pages. My daughter showed it to me this morning. By this afternoon it was being forwarded to many people in the area via email. According to the web site there will be a video page soon. Their attorney advised them to blank out faces it states. I think that is very good advice. If there are minors in the video and you can make out their face it could lead to some problems without proper releases.
Whoever you are, I will ask on behalf of all of us who do live here, please keep it civil. With that said, write on. Freedom of Speech is a right many have died for. Your pen has opened the eyes of many and put fear in the hearts of some who deserve all they get. And made an old man laugh until he almost wet his pants.

You wont make any friends in your book.
You will get alienated like a disease or muscled out.
Hiawassee will indeed become Hellawassee when the locals destroy you for amusement.

Chapter three seems hastily written. A little slanted as you will see. ( Is there a clue here ) Not as funny as the first two chapters. Come on, slow down and put as much thought as you did in the first two chapters.

I hope this last chapter is just a fluke and not the direction the story is going. The first chapters we based "loosely" on real events. The latest chapter is based more on perception that any real events. Although a few lines bear resemblance to fact, the jury selection process tends to repeat itself over and over again. I hope the writer gets back to what made the writings fun and funny, maybe forget the grinding of the political axe and stick to satire.

This web site was up for over three months before they posted on TOPIX. My sources say there are about a dozen people behind it with one or two ring leaders. It was originally planned to be used against some school board members and Commissioner Kendall if they ran again. Someone posted the link to Topix the day after qualifying but the School Board has been aware of the site for a couple months now. I know who a few of the writers are but some of the information had to come from old timers or insiders. Most of the writing was done back in the fall with a few updates added in the past couple weeks. The first chapter was changed back in March a month after it was published. It is a work in progress. They are going to change it to fit the current news as they go.
It is the talk of the town now, but according to one of the original participants there is a split in opinions about going after Clinton and some others in up coming chapters. They said the chapters were approved by everyone but some changes were made without everyone's approval.
This is the same bunch who paid about a dozen kids to video stuff going on at the school last fall and winter. I also know the cost and time to blur out the faces on the videos are causing delays in their being put on the site. Someone from Young Harris was going to do it for free but now wants several thousand dollars because it takes hours and hours to do frame by frame. They are afraid to use them without doing that.
You are right. This is a professional hit. It has been in the works for over a year. This e-book is only the beginning of their plans. Look for some power point presentations at some of the political forums coming up. These people are serious about exposing some real problems. If they don't bust up from inside over some differences of opinion they will at the very least give local politicians and their cronies a few sleepless nights.
The one thing you can count on with management by committee is someone will talk. They will talk more when their ideas are not followed. The names of all the players will eventually come out. I know some of them don't care but others are concerned because they know how things work around here. One of them turned a pile of information over to the Feds or GBI Im not sure which because he feared something might happen to him for helping with this. Probably a good idea in this town.

I was wondering why the book doesn't date back and talk about students attacking teachers at graduation or furhther back and talk about teachers getting pregnant by students and then jumping ahead and discussing parents stealing from the ptso you are leaving out material I wonder why.
