You ready to give up YOUR Social Security and Medicare?? Or are you one of the folks who want to keep what you think should be yours and let our kids and grandkids do without? Our kids and grandkids are PAYING for what you get NOW, so you want them to learn to live with less while you keep right on getting. Lots of ways to skin this cat, increase taxes on everyone, cut WASTEFULL military spending but you want just to kick the can down the road and let someone else suffer. Bushs wars were not funded, Obama care has funding. You don't know shite!

Trivia: The with-holding tax accounts for 32% of everything the government takes in and is supposed to fund SS and Medicare yet 12%, or around $90 billion, is used for other things, like the military. To date, the government "owes" the SS Trust Fund around $2.3 trillion dollars which it has no intention of ever paying back. When the "with-holding tax holiday" expires Jan 1, we'll be paying more each month again and the government will be taking out more each month, from $45 to $215. The wealthy will hardly be affected but we sure will be and the economy will likely take another nose dive.

Closing at noon on Saturday is just dumb. It is the busiest day of the week for Home Depot, Lowe's and all hardware stores. People are off work and doing home repair and improvements. They need to close or hire a manager with some common sense.

They only closed at noon for a short time. Maybe you should make a visit to the store and not Home Depot for everthing. You will find that the hardward store is sometimes a lot cheaper than the Depot.

You are correct. They sell a lot of things more inexpensively than the big box stores.

I have found the hardware store to be friendly and within my budget most of the time.

The best thing we can do as citizens of Towns County is support our local businesses here. We should also be vocal when those businesses do not meet up to our expectations instead of going to another county or state. Do not be afraid to provide feedback!

Clean the place up ! The outside is a mess and the building looks terrible ( who chose orange for the nursery ?). Get the employees working instead of standing around talking.

. When I was moving up here 15 years ago, My wife and I stopped in the store to pick up part for our home, there was a Braves gave on TV, and the employees were watching the game, so I was looking for the part myself, after about 10 or15 mins. Looking I was unable to find it so I ask one of the employees, with a Hardware shirt on . Parton me, Sir do you work here? an his response was, No I just ware this shirt for the Hell of it. I have not been back in the store. This clown can now ware his shirt when he signs up for unemployment and food stamps..

Lame stuff, Dumbo. Always whining, posting, and talking to yourself. Go to the hardware store, buy a tool and do something useful, you simple tool.

By the way it looks I guess it does look like they are going to close. The shelves are empty of products and they never know when stuff is coming in.Lumber inventory way down.Lumber quality down hill. All areas need a good cleaning and trash to the dump! I like the place and folks who work there, but area is not very inviting! My thought.

The lumber quality has been down hill since 1986.. It would be suitable if you were building a dog house, maybe.

I went in there today after not having been in several months. I was stunned at the empty spaces on the shelves. There were a lot of items out of stock.

I really hope this rumor isn't true. They are convenient and offer a good service for the town. Do you want to drive all the way to Home Depot every time you need something from a hardware store?

With all the other empty store fronts here, one more won't make any difference.
