While I'm sure that many have moved to this area due to its lack of racial mix, that was not what drew me to these mountains. For me it was the change of seasons, the low population density, and the scenic beauty.
Why do you feel that everyone within an area must have the same views, and apparnetly be of the same color. When I moved here I knew that rurals areas were more conservative, in both their politics and their religion, but why should that deter anyone from living where they please.
By the same token, why does where I live have any bearing on what I post, and what is it that I should be in the middle of so that I might then have the "right" to express an opinion. I have lived in racially mixed neighbors, declining areas that were originally lilly white, but so what, what does that prove.
I understand the beauty of the mountains. 39 degrees this AM means you do get 4 seasons. Why does it matter where you live to voice an opinion? Very few football coaches, if any, have not played the game. I am a believer you must live amongst and understand what you are writing about. You say you have. So I say, why did the lilly white neighborhood decline?

Well, perhaps declining was not truly representative of the area. A more accurate description would be that a few of the homes on any given block showed signs of folks who were struggling economically. But the area was definitely changing from all white to racially mixed.

Why was it changing?

I suspect that it was mainly due to Federal Fair Housing enforcement with ensuing white flight to other parts of the county. Course what those white flight folks faild to consider was that Fair Housing would follow them where ever they went.

Regarding being a football coach, since I never played college or professional sports I guess I can't have an opinion on either. And since I've never been a professional referee, or owned a sports franchise I can't have an opinion on labor relations between those parties.

What? No you can never have to many things that have a crank, if that's what you mean.
And you can get a crank radio and flashlight at L.L.bean.
Any thing can happen at any time.
