Why didn't you give us the Bio and qualifications for the "New Principal" in your front page story. Perhaps the lack of experience, education, qualification and failure on the part of the School Board to properly advertise the position, was the reason. Perhaps this question could be posed to the Superintendent, Just because you lacked the qualifications, ability, experience and education necessary to lead Towns County schools, do you feel it was a prudent decision to hire a Principal to lead our High School who lacks those same professional traits and skills? Are you attempting to surround yourself with people with less education and experience than yourself?

Once again you will hear real news here on TOPIX long before you read the censored, King Bill Approved, watered down version in the local rag sheet.
My opinion is he is a very nice guy who lacked the support of the School Board to take Towns County out of the mess it was in. He did not create the mess. Dr. Dick was a idiot who only wanted to build a special Education shrine to his brother. The current little lady came from a failing system and picked right up where she left off here. The problems in the Towns County School system date back to the days when King Bill had the official title of Superintendent. Today he is like the great and powerful OZ who works behind the curtain. But make no mistake about it. He still calls the shots, The current line up of ignorant school Board members follow along like sheep. As long as they can keep hiring their family members all is well in their mind.
If they promote the little smart ass family friend the Superintendent hired, who lacked experience and common sense, then things might get worse. Although many of you are saying things could not get worse, believe me if that simpleton gets control all bets are off.
My vote goes to Dr. Darren Berrong. He has demonstrated enough knowledge and ambition to obtain a PhD. Which is more than the VP and Superintendent have done. He will be the next Superintendent so why not let him run the High School the next two years while little Bo Peep finishes her contract.
The problem is not all in the Principals office but someone needs to take the fall for the ignorance in the Superintendents office and School Board. Elvis is about to leave the building.
P.S. Little Miss Golden Child and her mommy spent the whole day in the Guidance Counselors office Thursday. There must have been some children's grade that needed to be adjusted to make sure of a top three finish. Maybe she will finish fourth and we will have a new award. I say we call it the Mommy award. Each year the Mommy with the most juice in the System gets their kid a five minute speech and plaque.
