RIP Jack Lance. It was a little bit of a mystery when I read the Obit for Jack. In the Survivor's column, we have the divorced spouses listed, but No Mrs. Lance. A legal separation does not constitute a legal divorce.

I find it really appalling when a man who has done so much for this county and as of very recently, is deceased, self hating idiots such as you still don't take a break from bashing and fault finding. You're a special kind of ugly. I know his family will be praying for your sick soul. In the meantime, get yourself some help, please.

Yes, he was one of the finest people I have ever met and had a kind word for everyone. It was an honor to know such a person.
How sad that the original poster would focus on such a meaningless detail.

Typical white trash looking for a place to land....keep moving. Jack was a fine man and doesn't deserve this....but then again your kind doesn't deserve the earth space you waste. Go away...you disgust everyone.

By the way Literate from Birmingham, Alabama - Just to be clear "Jack Lance" was not mentioned in any derogatory manner.I did not know him personally, but I have heard that he was Wonderful. But since you mentioned I was bashing him, how would that be? As I indicated I was looking at the Obit and Ms. Pat Lance is not mentioned, and as I said," Legally Separated is still Legally Married.

Typical knee jerk reaction to a factual comment. Mrs. Jack Lance was not mentioned in the obit and I'm certain that was meaninful to her Her "beloved" children have even gone so far as to try to block their mother from attending the services. Jack senior may have been a good man, but it seems his children did not learn that lesson from him. How very sad for them.

And again brain child .....how does speculating on someone's personal business and interpreting his marital situation from an OBITUARY become your responsibility or RIGHT. It isn't. You honor him as being a good man, yet you respected him so much that you felt compelled to speculate into his personal life in a public forum.....you are tasteless and downright gross. No one deserves this and if it was my family, I would be deeply offended and shortly thereafter seeking a clear and defining moment with you. Furthermore, I knew Jack and he was far classier and much more decent than this. Take it to another place, another page or better yet...apologize immediately to his family, mind your own business and shut the hell up. Thanks.

Yo, Apologize Now, it is the family that owes their Mother the apology, Facts are facts, for better or worse Jack and Pat were still husband and wife and she deserve the recognition. Why do you think by mentioning that Jack was still married to Pat some how makes him less of a good man?

This has nothing to do with Pat...she is a sweet lady...it has to do with respect and dignity...of which you know nothing....this conversation is over "YO".....u r disrespectful and may God have mercy on YO soul. Goodbye.

If you really can't see where in your post you displayed negativity, then there's not anything I can say to make you acknowledge it. You found fault with the irrelevant. You had to dig really deep to even make that an issue. You were intent on finding fault whether it was right or not. That is all I will contribute to this thread other than that my thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends and this county has suffered a great loss.

Could this not be more rediculous, this is why I hate this site.... Anyone who knows the family knows the facts and they know what lead up to the split 12ish years ago. If you know that THEN you know the kind of man that Jack was/is, but in the end Pat was the better person, her offspring not so much.
Ya'lll are so lame, let the man RIP and give Pat her due as his wife. What's it to any of you anyway. Get a life, one of your own.

Morn Jack as the man you knew him to be and be done with all of this nonesense.

Geez, children you need to be respectful.

I worked with Jack and I loved him, he would tell us stories about growing up and what a wonderful attitude about life he had, and he was so very kind, I never heard him say a harsh word. And Family, he loved his family, he loved life. He was at every event in Union County and I think he knew where everyone in the county lived now or had lived in the past. He was so kind. You can say what you want about the man but if you would have known him personally for 5 minutes you would have been totally impressed. May God Bless all the friends and family.. And may Jack Rest In Peace.

My last say on the subject. Yes, Jack was a great man. But his family showed total disrespect toward their mother, and it will come back to bite them..May God have the last word. "Honor thy father and Mother", what about the Mother..??

ANY ONE WHO KNEW JACK KNEW THAT HE HAD TRIED FOR 12 YEARS TO DIVORCE THIS WOMAN AND SHE REFUSED A DIVORCE. SO LEGAL SEPARATION OR NOT THIS MAN HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH HER IN ANY SHAPE FORM OR FASHION.

You are correct but lets not pick and choose verses Judge not least you be judged....if we want to bring the bible into it. This is none of our business.
