Mack Mason better step it up, Sheriff Clinton in Hiawassee has already put his foot down to defend the constitutional rights of his county.
So can we get an official word on where Mason stands?
You can hear where Sheriff Mason stands from his own lips at the Tea Party Meeting at the Civic Center on 2/12 at 7pm. Everyone is welcome. Come and bring others...Q&A follows the talk.

Seriously with the Sheriffs of both Towns and Fannin county's on record to support their constitutes personal liberty . Their seems to be a large silent void where Mack Masons opinion should be.
As for myself, I am today proud that I chose to settle in Towns even tho I was raised in Union. You fellers better start getting your boy talking. I am interested to hear what he has to say.
Geeze guys, Give the man a break, you think the man only been in there a little over a month, he might have a little more to do than write a letter about how he does or does not support a gun law that might or might not be even matter right now? I am just guessing but and this is just my OPINION but Mack is prior military so I will assume he is for allowing people to have guns, most military and retired military think that.
Soo.
NO, he has only had 1 month to clean up the past 10 years of a big pile of shit the last sheriff left us for. So yeah he has more important things to do than "write a letter" , oh yeah like busting that SUV full of meth to keep your kids safe, or to help clear out some of the inmates in the jail to get county spending down, or work out more of the things that the last sheriff screwed up. Get a grip people, if you are THAT INTRESTED in what he is going to say, go to his Q&A and ask him, it was in the NGN this week of when and where he will be doing it.

While you're at it why dont u ask him about some of the outlandish salaries being paid to new employees who never set foot in an institute of higher learning? Guess he figured he'd get all the people who he thought could help him politically and give them big money to come do his bidding....yeah..... Real professionals.... Lol

First of all, its the past 12 years. And as far as the pile of shit he left you, not us, what is it? As far as the SUV full of meth, that he had nothing to do with, he was at home according to his radio traffic. So as far as keeping kids safe, all he is worried about are tinted windows, dirty chairs and taking Danny Everett's unemployment check. What a low down S.O.B.

Doesn't surprise me. Mason has a chip on his shoulder that won't ever go away. He is a vicious, mean SOB -- his ads in the paper should have shown that, but, no, it suckered people. Those who voted for this guy will regret it.

I agree the little white SUV meth-buggy was no prize for either department, city or county. It was a minor bust at that. Meth made from otc decongestants? People are so guillable.

I'd say it's a lot less than what the previous Sheriff and Commish were allowing some of the former deputies to skim off the county payroll for years. One was managing to increase his salary 20,000 plus per year. So it appears we are a lot better off now.

Why don't you show up at one of the Q&As and ask him yourself?

What is the source of your claim of outlandish salaries being paid to new employees?

It depends on what grounds a person is terminated.
Not all people who lose jobs are entitled to unemployment.
Mason may have indicated termination was based on something that doesn't justify unemployment. I would check it out before calling someone a dip shit.

I don't know where Tom Porter got his info. but you can take it to the bank that the information is correct. He can deny that the man was wrongfully terminated. In this case the Almighty Sheriff appealed and lost.

I hear investigators are starting at $19 per hr., 8 new vehicles and 8 part time jailers for starters. Seems Amighty Mason is already over budget.
