Terrible news to hear. The Big Town crimes are slowly finding our little community. My prayers are with those involved.

Why is nit a secret when someone is killed?
You really think no one will find out?
What a bunch of fools?
If we don't talk /know about it, it did not happen?
Boy was shot in Canton,Georgia by sheriff patrol.

Respect my ass.
CANTON, Ga.-- A Cherokee County Sheriff's deputy shot and killed a man suspected of murdering his parents in Union County.

Cherokee County Sheriff's Lt. Jay Baker said deputies were given a Georgia Bureau of Investigation lookout Thursday evening for 34-year-old Anthony Payne.

The bodies of 59-year-old Charles Payne and 67-year-old Louise Payne were found Thursday evening at a house in Blairsville. The Paynes had been shot to death, according to GBI spokesman John Bankhead.

At around 11 p.m., a Ford F-150 matching the one owned by the suspects' parents was stopped by deputies on Toonigh Road near Morgan Road in Canton. Baker said Anthony Payne, the couple's son, was inside and quickly fled on foot.

Acting on information, deputies went to a house on Swan Lane in Canton and made contact with Payne. Baker said the armed man refused to drop his weapon and both the deputy and the suspect fired.

Payne was shot and pronounced dead on the scene. The deputy was not harmed.

The investigation into the officer-involved shooting has been handed over to the GBI Regional Office in Conyers, Bankhead said.

I knew Anthony Payne, we hung out a few times in my younger days. He seemed like a nice person, I can't imagine him doing something like this. I met his father, and they seemed like they got along good. The woman was his stepmother I have never met her. I am very sad for this tragedy. I am praying for the family.

Looks like all the "respect" for small town murder is causing a lot of confusion for the wrong families? How is your respect thing working?
Truth seems to be rare in Blairsville, from taxes, county projects, to murder. The less the community knows the better the citizens enjoy their heads stuck up the butts of elected officials.

We are all taken care of, lets all "sympathize". Horse shit.

Why is our community any of your business? Keep your nose in Maysville. Yeah we have problems in bville but they are our issues not yours. We don't care what your opinions are or want them. I knew Anthony in high school. I would have never imagined him doing this though. I'm very puzzled as to what the motive could have been.
