I agree. Women want the same rights as men and I have no problem with that. Along with rights come responsibility, so women also need to be required to register for the draft. <quoted text>
Draft? We have an all volunteer military.

How do men die differently than a woman?

Yes we do , but as a male when you turn 18 you have to register with the selective service. I believe what he was implying, is female would be required to do that also. In future wars, it might be necessary to draft individuals. Which brings about an interesting situation, what about the women who do not want to go into the military.

Draft and registering are two separate issues.
What if a man does not want to go into the military?
In the 60s, was it men or women running off to Canada and defecting? If the country needs women soldiers, they will have to comply. I'm finished with this discussion.
Many of the posters have used the words "40 years ago" - "30 years ago." It is time for the older men in this country to get over themselves and realize times have changed. You aren't NOW what you use to be, nor is life in America what it use to be 30 or 40 years ago.

Please let me be the first to bow to your highness. Yes life is always about change, but sometimes change is not always a good thing. I guess if we live long enough we can hope to become as enlightened as you. On some level I do feel sorry for you, you don't even realize what you have lost.

That is exactly the point. Men have no choice in the matter. If women are truly going to be equal than they should have no choice either. They should be required to register on their 18 birthday as well. I agree this topic has also reached a good ending point.

And women should be made to register also, they make up more than 50% of the population.

Test

A good test for women in front line combat.

Take a platoon of new recruits of women, train them in hand to hand combat. Also take a platoon of new recruits of men and train them in hand to hand combat.

Have the 2 new platoons go at it in hand to hand combat and see which platoon wins.

If the above test fails, send the women platoon into combat first to seduce the enemy. While the enemy is sleeping, send in the men platoon and finish off the enemy.

Sorry for all the men who posted. I know it must be difficult once you can no longer get an erection. It makes it easier to pick apart women in this country, doesn't it? Oh, you can get one, but your's is so little tiny bitsy thing that it really doesn't matter.

I laid hardwood flooring with my husband for 10 hours. His hired help that actually got paid did 1/3 of the work I did and he was a male. I am female. Stop you whining just because you can not kick ass. I've always worked like a man from a real man. I don't know who most these jokers learned from that call themselves men. Some women like barbies and some like combat. The art of defending my God, family, friends, country, county and home is top priority. Do your one load of laundry. I will do 15 to your 1 any day. Proven fact!
