Hi friends. I'm using Taste of Chicago not because I consider myself an expert, but just so you know it's me.

I just ate the most delicious pizza at Big Al's!
It was PERFECT! The crust was light, fluffy and just the right thickness. If you're like me and like extra sauce, ask for it on the side and dip it! Oh my gosh the sauce is heavenly...I'm not kidding! Cheese blend was awesome! I ordered mine without provolone in the blend, as I am allergic to it.

To me, the entire pizza was perfectly done. If you like a crispy crust then let them know. I would suggest you order the pizza as is, see what works or doesn't work for you and then ask for any preferences on your next visit. I have no doubt you'll be visiting again!!

Now I have to try the pasta dishes. Once you taste the marinara sauce, you'll want to do the same.

Good thing this place didn't open while TOC was still operating, we'd have been out of business sooner, with Big Al's as competition.

Hwy 76, turn North on 75 at McDonald's, about a mile out on the left. New building. There's only a little sign at the driveway, so watch for it.
Parking is on the backside of the building.

Went there. It was good, but I still didn't like it as good as smokerings pizza. I have never been that big of a fan of their BBQ, but I love their pizza. I didn't even know they made it till I saw it on here. They need to advertise or something. Best pizza I have had lately.

I'll have to give Smokerings a try. I haven't tried Mamasu's yet either.

GTF my friend, the same can be said about you. There are some crazy things happening on Topix sometimes...perhaps the craziest may be the friends I have acquired because of this forum.

Not that you are crazy! LOL! I mean, who would think that through this site we could meet and become friends with such interesting people.

Just ate pizza at Big Al's and I found it the best I have eaten around here. I would tell all that this is the place for pizza in Towns County
